I am at peace with being misunderstood,
with standing unloved—perhaps rejected, perhaps resisted.

At peace with belonging selectively,
to places, and to hearts alike.

At peace with failure as a chapter of the experience,
with stories that were never meant to be finished.

At peace with not understanding everything,
so long as my certainty in God outweighs my doubt.
