A random system February 2 February 2 So we've been trying to make a tulpa, and we tried to make one looking and acting like Gyutaro from Demon Slayer. However, that proved really difficult, as he kept "disappearing" and we couldn't imagine him in our living space very well. For context, he is disabled in source - he has congenital syphilis. We eventually gave up on that because of personal reasons (the reasons being our overall mental health being worse) but lately we've picked up tulpamancy again, this time trying to make a tulpa of Archangel Michael in the form of a muscular man with long brown hair, light yellow wings and wearing a specific type of armor that we don't know the name of. So, are we ableist for giving up on the creation of a disabled tulpa and trying to create a non-disabled one? For the record, we are not religious at all, but we found Archangel Michael easier to imagine the existence of in the same space as us.
Bread February 2 February 2 Probably not. Do you hate disabled people? If not, then you are not ableist. "All according to plan"- Tzeentch, after stubbing his toe
A random system February 2 Author February 2 Quote Probably not. Do you hate disabled people? If not, then you are not ableist. We don't want to be ableist, but we're scared that we are ableist because of the fact that a human with wings is easier to imagine for us than a human that's disabled in a specific way.
Lucilyn February 2 February 2 (edited) sort of an "Am I homophobic for not being attracted to men?" type of question ableism is depriving people with disabilities of rights or dignity due to their disability you're not ableist for not making a disabled character your favorite or something holy figures are a bit of a lofty goal of a tulpa though, be aware they... probably won't fully live up to that, they're still just created by your own brain at the end of the day tulpas can be things you can imagine really well - so, a lot more than "just you" - but that doesn't mean they can fully emulate Jesus just because you can imagine him, y'know? but if you're okay with whatever those limitations may be then it's fine Edited February 2 by Lucilyn Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas! I like rain and dancing and dancing in the rain and if there's frogs there too that's bonus points. I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal! Talk to us? https://community.tulpa.info/thread-ask-lumi-s-tulpas

I have a rare neuro condition and multiple other issues I wouldn’t be offended if someone couldn’t imagine what my life was like enough to base a Tulpa (or other character like in a story) on me without having lived my life. None of my Tulpa’s have any disabilities and I use my wonderland (and video games) for pure escapism to do things the body can’t do in real life. two are spirits/soul bonds several are changelings. Lucilyn February 2 February 2 oops typo on my post, accidentally wrote "Am I gay for not being attracted to men?" instead of "Am I homophobic for not being attracted to men?" implying it's a bit of a ridiculous thing to ask, of course not Hi, I'm one of Lumi's tulpas!
