Zetazero December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 Hi everyone, i lurked this forum for weeks, ad recently i decided to make a tulpa. But in my many problems there is one that worries me: I'm usually go hunting, this means i have fire weapons... and in my country who owns a weapon must regularly undergo psychological visits. and I'm afraid a good psychologist can "diagnose" this thing forcing me to have a devastating treatment based on psycho drugs (I do not know how to define these medicines in English sorry). Does anyone here know if this can be possible? (sorry for my bad english).
Oguigi December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 The only way they can find out, is if you tell them yourself. With that said if you told them that you have a tulpa they will most likely deem that as a form of schizophrenia (voices in your head, that can of deal), which i can almost assure you will be followed with a treatment plan. there are ways you can tell them and not sound crazy, you can tell them it's a form of meditation; for example "a being that represents your subconscious." I wish you luck and hope this doesn't become a serious problem for you. pix: Link Diary: http://ponystasha.tumblr.com Koomer.
waffles December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 If your main goal is to be sane in the eyes of your psychologist, the only advisable course of action would be to not tell them about your tulpa. If they say "Have you been hearing voices recently", then you just say "No". They're not going to strap you down an probe your brain for tulpas, and they're not going to somehow get it out of you that you have one. That will ensure that you don't get force-fed the meds.
Kajhera December 22, 2012 December 22, 2012 I think in English it's antipsychotic medicine. A psychologist should only prescribe you these things if you're being upset by your self-induced hallucinations/etc, so, if you're not suffering any particular distress from your tulpa's existence it's not a thing they need to know. Just a personal meditation technique. If it is something that's distressing you then think very carefully about how you want to talk about it, if they are involved strongly you may still be able to talk about them in terms of an anonymous relationship or something. 'My friend's going through [x] and it makes me feel [y]'. But ... yeah, if you're just psych-visiting for the sake of having to psych-visit you don't have to spill your soul(s).
Guest EnnervateIndustries December 23, 2012 December 23, 2012 If you are the one who made the tulpa (i.e. not from shock or stress or something, then it would be DID) then you should be able to understand how to hide it. And, yes, they are called antipsychotics.
Koji December 24, 2012 December 24, 2012 Anti-psychotics are what they would put you on, but it would be for DID (Dissociative identity disorder) I'm sure that even if they were to discover your tulpa, which is unlikely, that the medicine would have much effect on the tulpa. So keep the tulpa secret, but don't stress over it too much. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Koji-and-Catelyn-Of-Deserts-and-Snowmen
