Lewt Newt February 1, 2013 February 1, 2013 Hello everyone. Excuse the creation of another "oh dang is this method acceptable" thread, but I began creating my tulpa Resuna about five days ago. Before hand I did read up on some small information on tulpae back in November/December and then after reading quite a few guides in the past two weeks. I then decided to create my tulpa. My question at this point is, are my methods an acceptable way of creating my tulpa? After I made sure that I was completely aware of her sentience. I began working on her personality five days ago using mainly FAQ_man's method of getting a list of about 30 traits. But I tend to stray away from his guide when it comes to actually telling Resuna of her traits, I begin with saying "you are..." and so forth and use some of FAQ_mans suggestions saying why we have these traits and how it affects us. Then I tend to stray away and begin having what I can only describe as a casual conversation with her while continuing to describe the trait. Also, I am not quite sure on what exactly I need to be doing/seeing while telling Resuna of her traits, I usually just close my eyes do a bit of LucidAcid's meditation method and don't really imagine much other than a few images of the examples I am using to describe the trait. So do I need to be imagining Resuna in my minds eye or is a sort of black screened mind's eye okay to work with when describing her traits? I do of course have a sort of place holder form of her as a sea foam colored misty orb of sorts. Secondly I tend to just lay down in a comfortable position after meditating for a few minutes before forcing. Should I have any major goal or state to achieve before forcing? The last question I have relates to narrating. I tend to narrate quite a bit casually to Resuna while I am at work and school, well when I get the chance and have something to talk about of course. Is narrating good at this point, should I be doing it more? or should I target narrating later on in the process? tl;dr version: 1: I describe Resuna's traits starting off methodically then tend to stray into a more casual conversation of the trait/emotion is this good? 2: I often do not imagine anything while telling Resuna of her traits I just sort of tell her, should I be visualizing her in her current form while personality forcing? 3: I don't have any major meditation sessions I just kind of jump into forcing is this well enough? 4: Is casual narrating/conversations a good idea with only five days into creating? Any suggestions or comments would be great. Also any tips for the future processes would be great.
QB2 February 1, 2013 February 1, 2013 1: I describe Resuna's traits starting off methodically then tend to stray into a more casual conversation of the trait/emotion is this good? Yes, it's fantastic, talking and going indepth are the best things. 2: I often do not imagine anything while telling Resuna of her traits I just sort of tell her, should I be visualizing her in her current form while personality forcing? If you aren't having problems, don't bother doing anything different here. Either way works. 3: I don't have any major meditation sessions I just kind of jump into forcing is this well enough? Anything you can grab is great. 4: Is casual narrating/conversations a good idea with only five days into creating? Yeah. You're 100%. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Guest Anonymous February 1, 2013 February 1, 2013 !: I don't see why not. As long as you feel that all of it is working. @: It helps to try and imagine the traits in some form (some use a liquid) and imagine somehow giving it to your tulpa. Some have their tulpa drink it, others pour it, but its up to you/ #: I don't see why it would be an issue. But at least being able to spend 30 minutes with Resuna is good. $: Of course man! Any narration is great, at ANY time during the creation process.
ThatOneGuy February 1, 2013 February 1, 2013 1: It seems that you are developing the trait further this way, so all in all I would say that yes, this is good. 2: Visualizing her in her current form isn't required, so long as you can keep focused on your tulpa while doing traits. Most of the time visualization is just an aid early on to keep the mind from straying or to give a target for the traits. 3: As long as you feel comfortable with what you're doing, you're fine. I prefer being very calm and relaxed, with meditation beforehand, but that's just me. Do whatever you think is best in this case. 4: Once again, whatever you're comfortable with works. Let's review what you're doing with this casual narration/conversations; you're giving your tulpa attention and building upon the foundation for it you have set in your mind. I can't foresee any harm coming from this. Overall, it sounds like you're on the right track. Keep it up. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
Lewt Newt February 1, 2013 Author February 1, 2013 Ah good, thanks for the input everyone. Glad to know I am doing something right. I am very much looking forward to this experience.
