Rhodes June 5, 2012 June 5, 2012 It's about time I started my own thread. I'll get right into it. TULPA INFO: Name - Hawkings Form - Pegasus Gender - Male (zomg) Working on - Preliminary Session Time - 40 min LOG 1: Well, after a weekend of being sick and researching more tulpa stuff, I finally was able to begin my first session today. I based this session off of a half-an-hour preliminary exercise (Even before doing personality work) that deals with introducing yourself to your tulpa, and vice versa. Basically, you lay out all of its traits, create a name for it, and then begin a small narration seminar telling it what you want to do with it when it becomes fully sentient and repeating its key traits to it. Guess I should also mention that I used one of Fede's Tones (specifically the Tulpatone w/ no noise). It was a bit weird first starting. My mind was all over the place, and I felt a bit nervous. I let myself calm down and began. I started off with saying my tulpa's key traits: Honesty, Faith, Confidence, Calmness, Light-Heartedness, Optimism, Good-will, and Joking-ness. Once I was settled with those, I began talking to the tulpa about our future, what I was doing with it, what I intended to do once it was done, things like that. I didn't focus on it's form or a wonderland, the latter especially being pretty unimportant at this point, and really only concentrated on the blackness from my closed eyes. The only "visualization" I did manage was the image that I was talking to a constantly reforming and reshaping aura. During the middle of my session, I began to wonder for a name. I told it I wanted to decide on a temporary name that could be changed later if it wanted. A list of names ran through my head, but one that kept bugging me was the name Hawkings. It stayed practically floating in front of my face until I said, "Alright, then Hawkings it is?", which afterwards disappeared from sight. After 30 minutes passed of me talking to it (which did seem rather quick), I decided to close it up. I did notice my mind getting a bit active on this point and I ended up spending another ten minutes just saying goodbye. I won't lie, I don't feel anything emotional or magical coming from this, but it does feel very good to be able to start some good ol' tulpaforcing. Seems like I've taken a step into a bigger world. Next time I intend to begin a long session of personality work. Good day, gentlemen/women. Rhodes June 5, 2012 Author June 5, 2012 >male tulpa >pony Wat. Iknorite? On a serious note, when it comes to narration, is there ever a limit on how early you could/should start? Apologies in advance if this has been asked before. I give a 110% when it comes to helping my community even though I occasionally associate with some less than reputable characters. Rhodes June 7, 2012 Author June 7, 2012 LOG 2: (I don't think I'll be posting logs this long again until I hit significant points. Please bear with this wall of text, haha) TL;DR: I saw my tulpa's soul and completed five traits so far. This was a considerably more fun an organized session. Felt like I'm getting stuff done. :D Anyways, first session of pure personality work done. I spent about ten minutes of preparation, and an hour of actual tulpaforcing. I wanted to follow FAQ Man and Horricide's guides with a little bit of my own style included. So, I came up with 16 different traits for Hawkings. The traits were Honesty, Hope, Faith, Confidence, Calmness, Light-Heartedness, Optimism, Good-will, Jokingness, Curiousness, Non-Risk Taker, Trusting, Responsive, Cooperative, Forgiving, and Adventurous. I decided to spend an average of 20 minutes on each, giving me five traits completed per hour. Once I'm finished with the current traits, I can either keep reviewing them, or create new ones to add on. The actual session had me sitting on the floor at first, but after some constant shifting around, I switched to sitting at my chair. During my tulpaforcing, I also played some relaxing music, which seems to work wonders on getting me focused and keeping time flowing fast. I laid back in the chair and closed my eyes. For around six minutes, all I could do was focus on the back of my eyelids. Suddenly, I imagined a world forming. (I wouldn't really consider it a wonderland, but it did help in getting me immersed in my own mind.) It was a dark green grassy plain with pine trees to my left. On my right was a group of rocky bluffs that each stood a couple hundred feet high. The sky seemed to be stuck at twilight, I could visualize stars, as well. In front of me stood a blank, white Pegasus; no features, just it's body and wings. (not even a tail!) I recognized it as my Tulpa and said, "Hello, Hawkings." It didn't reply, to no surprise. I explained to it that I was going to begin personality work on it. I moved towards it and made its body disappear. Inside its body was a purple ball. It had one blue ring spinning around it. I began to focus on the ball and work on its traits. I thought it was it's soul/core at first, but as I finished my second trait for it (hope), the ball cracked and split apart and the spinning ring dissipated. Inside the ball was a bright white light. It hat two blue lights revolving around it in tandem. I could recognize each of the blue lights as traits. Turns out I was just talking to a shell. I assume it was there for protection, but whatever the case, I was able to fluidly work on and define each of the traits to it. Each time I completed a trait, another blue light would form and be sent to revolve around the core light. (The 'traits' also seemed to be connected to each other by white beams of light, creating an equilateral geometric figure. e.g. 3 traits made up a triangle which at the center was the main core light) When I finished, I was able to complete 5 different traits. I ended the session by re-encasing the core light (and all of its traits) with the shell and forming back the actual body of Hawkings. I said my goodbyes and saw that the area around me was fading white, which afterwards, I opened my eyes. I do find this to be a successful session and hope I'm able to keep at it.
