I think I may have accidentally created a tulpa...

Of course, it might be the psychosis, but recently I've been conversing with the same entity over and over again. It's a bit one-sided, the conversation, as this mystery entity seems incapable of speech. What they do seem to possess is a sort of control over my memories. When I "Talk" to Miles, as I have dubbed this entity, I'm given responses in the form of my own memories. For example, "How are you feeling today?" was the first question I posed directly to Miles. Into my head burst James Brown: "I feeeeeel good!" *Danananananana!* Then a memory from when I was a kid, when I met my first friend Daniel. Then me, in a mirror, litle animated question marks over my head. Then my own voice: "How are you feeling today?". Then a kite in the sky.

All really quickly, like someone flipping through channels on a TV. Right before I sent this, I asked Miles what I should do with this, send it or delete it, and I got a flash: The first time I ever sang.

Miles wants a voice. What can I do to help him?

Try to find a voice that's close to what you and he want. Look in songs, TV, movies, etc. If you can't imagine that voice saying arbitrary lines, try imagining it saying things you've heard it say. Try to get this really clear and to the point where you can hear it saying anything. Now symbolically give it to him in some way, so that he can try controlling it and you let go of control of it.

It worked! Miles can talk now!

*Hallelujah chorus in my head, Miles' still getting used to using a voice.*

Miles' first words were:

"You have weird memories."

I nearly had a heart attack, I was focusing so hard.

{Also, I can make him move a little. Not running or anything strenuous, but enough to type.}

He's developing really quickly. Now, about getting him a body...

So exciting!

All right! Several days later, and Miles and I have talked quite a bit.

{Actually, I've done most of the talking; sorry about that.}

Yeah, he's actually a bit of a chatterbox. Whenever he really needs to get a point across though, he'll just use pictures. I've found that he can either plant false memories in my mind or dredge up stuff from deep in my mind, where I can't reach. Almost like he's some sort of mental librarian...

{I don't know which it is either, but I wouldn't mind exploring it a little further. Did you know you actually have some repressed memories, Scott?}

How would you know if I'm repressing memories?

{Because I know there's something that happened to you somewhere around your tenth birthday that I can't get to. It's like a whole week is just gone.}

We'll look into it, but I'm pretty sure I don't have repressed memories. Anyway, I'm working on getting Miles a bod. Any requests?

{Not really. I'd like something functional, but not bulky, you know?}

All right... Any suggestions?

That is a good point. Miles feels as though I am squashing his freedom of speech, he was laughing when he said it. So there's that.

{Today, it's my turn to post! Good afternoon, people who may or may not be reading this! My name is Miles, and it's a pleasure to finally get my voice out there for all to... er, read.

Anyway, Scott says I'm an impossibility. I figure that's like a miracle, only less happy.}

Just to intervene, is he even possible? Before he could even talk, he could still dive around my consciousness like a fish in a pond. He's learning how to move my fingers to write this, but he's never used fingers before, hell, he still doesn't have a body

{Impossibility? Maybe I'm just a quick learner, but that wouldn't explain why I've had so much trouble getting out of Scott's head, so to speak. We've been researching the subject, and most tulpa... tulpae... whatever the plural form is, they usually communicate much more intimately with their- let's call you all "hosts"- before they can influence them...}

Essentially, we're wondering if there are any other recorded instances of tulpae, tulpas, whatever, developing in significantly different ways; if you're reading, and you have any development of a tulpa, how did they develop? Did you hear voices, see them first, did they move you and send messages, and how quickly did it all happen?

Sands's Roswell was a bit abnormal. They trained possession and head pressure as a way to communicate before vocality.

(Also, I want to commend you for managing to publicly switch between the host and tulpa talking without it sounding like this.)

That still terrifies me. And Miles. I hear the violin part from "Psycho" whenever I look at that picture.
