The only thing that was added in GIMP was the contrast and shading. The background is a result of the adjusting of contrast and because I took a picture because I don't have a scanner.

I also don't have a tablet.

I like the way the image got distorted by taking it with a camera instead of scanning it. Gives it a nice effect with the shadows and such.
