Enoch327 July 29, 2013 July 29, 2013 Okay I feel like I am James Bond or something. By the way if any of this creeps you out please let me know. I trying to cut back on creeping people out. You raised some key issues in your last email. I would like to address those. I am feeling kind of like a teacher, so please indulge me. What is magick? It is a way to control reality. Crowley seems to think it is a way to effect change. If I am married to Carmen Electra, I don't want to change that. So magick is a way to either effect change or maintain the status quo. Either way controlling reality seems to work. What is a servitor? It is a prayer or spell with legs. Prayer, spell, sigil, amulet, servitor, glamour, egregore, godform. (This is how I would rank them.) These are all forms of magick. These are all thoughtforms. A thoughtform is energy plus intelligence, right? Raw energy doesn't do anything, you have to tell it to do something. So you are with me so far? Now about servitors. There are two main myths concerning servitors. The first one is that they are genies that will give us everything. The second one is that they are monsters who want to destroy everything including me. Now if your pet poodle gave birth to a genie or a monster that would be incredible. The servitor will for the most part have the nature of its creator(s). The rest are blinds to keep people from messing around with magick. The lesson is not to conduct magickal operations when you are extremely emotional. That may make a monster. Finally, you really don't have to worry about servitors going beyond your control. The worry for me is that they will fade away. For I have had some get so weak that they simply fade back into the ether from which I fashioned them. So there are three basic models that a servitor could fit into. Servant, pet, or machine. A servant servitor is much like a human being you would hire as a worker. Like maybe a research assistant. "Go to the akashic records and fetch me so and so information." A pet servitor might take the form of a gargoyle or an owl. Like a guard dog or a look out. So the last model would be the machine. You want to wake up at 6 am. So you create an alarm clock servitor. Or maybe a servitor to help your car run better. I have had luck with all three. Right now I consider servitors to be my junior partners. I use mythological creatures as my models, because they can assume human or animal form. In Peace, Love, and Light, The above is a portion an email I wrote to a friend sharing some of my ideas on the care and maintenance of servitors. When I decide on a servitor there is like an eight step process I go through to create it. I write the purpose on paper. I decide on a form. I give it a lifespan, then I empower it. There are great tutorials on the web if you would like more detailed information. I hope this answers some questions. And I would remind everyone that this is the metaphysical forum where we believe anything is possible. Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell
