As far as experience goes, your tulpa will 'see' - strictly, if told to watch the TV what they will report - what you or they expect them to see. If you have no expectations then maybe they won't see anything or maybe they will see something dredged up unconsciously. If you know that it's episode #65 of Friends then they'll probably see that episode how you remember it. And they might also say that they didn't see anything because you weren't watching but that's a slightly different kind of experience. And of course, as others have said, they can't actually tell what's on the screen if you can't perceive it yourself.

One line of thinking holds that tulpae are more sensitive to subconscious information than we are, which is why they often notice things that escape our conscious awareness. Maybe you saw the lightning out of the corner of your eye or something, but paid it no heed because you were so absorbed in your work.

Oh yeah, I don't doubt it. I feel like I've always been a fairly metacognisant individual, stricken by 'low latent inhibition'. So, when my animus archetype initially projected it/himself, I realized the merit of utilizing him to help me consolidate and manage unconscious sensory overwhelm. There were unusual consequences with that approach.

The lightning was invisible to me, unless I had developed an ability to peer through solid walls. A sudden drop in barometric pressure, or an increase in ambient electrostatic discharge, or the inaudible vibration of subsonic sound waves, all seem more viable mundane explanations. The only issue I have is that it wasn't an isolated incident, just the easiest to relay.

I'd be willing to test the remote observation phenomenon again, provided I can dedicate more time to my current 'tulpa' endeavor. I will definitely keep it in mind.

Kevin says: Nobillis has a habit of wandering off and exploring whilst I am working. This sometimes leads to some surprising statements from her.

I was working up in the hills above Perth, on the side of the road, when I heard Nobillis say behind me "there's a car coming." Now, I looked around, and didn't see any car (or hear one), so I turned around to ask her "where?" and was surprised to find - there was a narrow lane way behind me (unpaved) and indeed a car was approaching up this lane. Without her warning I'd have never known it was there.

Another time I was working north of Perth near a golf course and Nobillis wandered off. When she came back she said "I've been walking around the lake." I sort of thought, well it's logical that a golf course probably has a lake, or perhaps she's making it up? But when I moved down a little I was very surprised to find there was indeed a lake right behind where I'd been standing - and I'd totally not seen it because of the dense trees and bushes where I'd been standing before.

Now that's just two instances out of many. I've learned to trust what Nobillis says when she tells me what she's found when wandering about (which is, frankly, mostly stomping in puddles just like a little child would do, or looking at flowers). She definitely picks up on things that I'm not consciously aware of.

Nobillis says:

Obviously, I have all the senses available to me. Plus, if Kevin has been there before, I can wander in time and see the place as it used to be. I'm an illusion. What's unusual about being able to wander around? However, I'm an illusion that can think (and, type). Are not the "words" you are reading also an illusion, made of light on the screen? And yet you derive meaning from them.
