Hollow September 20, 2013 September 20, 2013 So yeah. Um. Hi! I'm pretty damn new here. *Aww you don't say hurr hurr* I've been lurking or about a month or 2 now, just reading up on progress reports of hosts and tupperfolk, guides, and the sorts, and decided to sign up. I haven't logged all that much time on tulpaforcing, yet, but I've spent approximately half hour today working on the wonderland. I know that a lot of people start with the tulpa first, but I thought I'd start off with the wonderland. I already had a basic concept of it, as I tend to have my own little 'wonderland' that I go to during meditation, but I never really worked on it to better it. So that's what I did today. I walked myself across the grassy plane, and began to plot in concepts of what would be a great home for my tulpa, as I got closer to the lush forest, and well, my mind did the rest. So far, I reckon it's looking pretty solid and clear. could do with some work, of course. Probably a couple of hours work on it, and I'll begin forming my tulpa. I've been trying to think of what form I want him/her to be, but I honestly can't decide! I've been thinking of making him/her my furry OC, but I thought maybe not. So I've decided I'll just visualize a cloud of sorts, and plot down some basic personality, and let my tulpa choose the rest! be who he/she wants to be. uhhh... Yep! I guess I'll update when I've logged a couple more hours~
Shui September 20, 2013 September 20, 2013 I started with the wonderland too. I didn't decide on a tulpa for weeks after joining this community, and I'd been planning on making a tulpa for years. If you want to find a form, I suggest looking through the art forum. There are lots of neat ideas there that will at least get you thinking. But your cloud method works too. Lots of people have done that with clouds, orbs of light, and recently one person even used an egg that her tulpa hatched out of when it had a form of its own. "'Real isn't how you are made,' said the Skin Horse. 'It's a thing that happens to you.'"
Ashmo September 20, 2013 September 20, 2013 I had a wonderland for years. Even before I came across tulpae. It's my happy place during meditation ^_^ As for your form work. You're pretty much doing what I did. I let everything start out as some what of a stormy cloud I called a "thought nebula" and let my tulpa choose the form they wanted. If you continue on this path, you're going to be in for a world of surprises! Shui is actually talking about my little egg. He started as a cloud and I was surprised to start forcing one day and see an egg instead of an electrical storm, lol.

I have had a look through the art forum, and some of the forms in there are really nice~ I do have a few ideas floating around in my head. It's just deciding which one to do. So yep. Leaving it up to my tulpa to decide what she wants. :3 I had a wonderland for years. Even before I came across tulpae. It's my happy place during meditation ^_^ As for your form work. I guess I'll continue with the cloud thingy, then~ As for the wonderland, it's the place I usually go when meditating. I'm just working on it, and adding a few bits and pieces to make it more... Well. More. Heheh
Ashmo September 21, 2013 September 21, 2013 Just let your tulpa know that you know it will become what it wants when you are ready and you will be happy with what ever form it chooses. Expectations will effect them, and so if you're the kind that likes surprises, as I am/was, its best to not have any at all! Aside from very basic things. Let them know you love them, let them know you think/know you two will be amazing friends. I didn't even really do normal personality forming with Bud in the beginning. I simply narrated to him the kind of people I like to have myself around and once he hatched I gave more positive attention to the traits I liked in him while I kind of ignored what I deemed less favorable. But I never gave him negative feed back. I want him to be his own person and I fear saying "No I don't like that in you," can hinder that. Because they are shaped by our expectations of them, you don't want them to feel like they aren't living up to what you had in mind for them. I'm not saying this is the way to do it or anything, I'm only saying it worked for me. Everyone needs to find their own way because each and every person's journey with their tulpa is unique. It really seems like you are on the right track though.
Hollow September 24, 2013 Author September 24, 2013 So I do believe we should do a little update here, eh? We've logged about 3-4 hours, now, and we've got some real brilliant stuff going on~ Within our excersizes, Soarin has gone ahead and picked himself a form, and just today, his name. His form is that of a saw-whet owl, and it is SO FREAKING ADORABLE. o3o I was giving him a tour of the now mostly solid wonderland, and when we left, I could only find myself imagining a small owl. I know I'd seen the type of owl before, but I couldn't remember the breed, so I took the liberty to look up on the net. Came across an owl that had pretty damn similar characterisitcs, and found out the it was a saw-whet. The name came today. Just talking with a friend, and it was a similar thing with the form. The name 'Soarin' came to mind, and until I came to the conclusion that it was what he wanted as his name, the thought calmed down. We've done about half hour on visualization, trying to make his form a little more solid. As for personality, we've got a few of the main basics down. Uhm. Yep!
Ashmo September 24, 2013 September 24, 2013 I'm so glad to hear about your progression! Congrats to you both on your latest break through! It's very interesting how Soarin's name came to you. Bud picked his name also, but it was more or less me going over names with him. I'd think of a name, get a nearly overwhelming negative feeling from it and then move onto another. I finally, more or less said, "Well, bud (like as in 'buddy'), looks like we'll look later," and I was hit with the feeling that that was in fact his name. I'll be honest, I had to google exactly what a saw-whet owl looks like, that are incredibly adorable! I'm so happy for you.
