Guest June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 I was just wondering if having a tulpa can be affected by the age of the user i'm 16 so i was wondering if this could have a negative effect on me since my brain is still developing.
glitchthe3rd June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 If anything, being younger means having a more active imagination, which in turn makes tulpaforcing easier. If you're 16 then you should be able to handle a tulpa, especially since you have several advantages that I didn't when I accidentally created my first tulpa (namely, guides and the support of your peers). Guest June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 Nope, you are just worrying over nothing. And where did you get this idea of undeveloped brain? In fact youngsters have more chances with tulpa, because they don't have as much psychological blocks as adults have and their critical thinking isn't so dense. When children create "imaginary friends" spontaneously it's a reaction to problems they may have - communication problems, problems at school or with their parents. And except some rare cases it will help them. After completing its role "im.friend" usually disappears and memory about it fades away. So you see, even spontaneously created entities similar to tulpa aren't that scary at all. So why would you fear tulpa which creation fully under your control?
FigN01 June 18, 2012 June 18, 2012 I don't think being younger would affect your ability to make a tulpa, but I wonder whether a younger age would affect the tulpa's maturity or personality. Maybe they grow out of teenage phases along with their users. I really have no idea.
