closeteverything November 1, 2013 November 1, 2013 So when i was little, I was into hypnosis quite a bit. it's never really went away, i kinda just gave it up. my question is this: if one were to undergo hypnosis with a tulpa, could you hypnotize your tulpa since they're part of your subconscious mind anyway? or could you let an audibly imposed tulpa hypnotize you, as a form of self-hypnosis? once again, i'm not asking for advice on hypnosis to acquire a tulpa, i've seen the scripts for that.
Linkzelda November 1, 2013 November 1, 2013 Yes to all questions. Though I mostly read off of scripts instead of having Eva or Ada do it for me. Though it is a goal of mine to hear them read something to me someday. All hypnosis will really do is either get them or yourself relaxed and focused while blocking out any intrusive thoughts that might affect your confidence in practicing and all that. Which is perfect when you want to get into a suggestive state so your critical awareness won't try to filter out the suggestions you're trying to take in. As long as you want something to happen, hypnosis or using other ways that may lead to a trance state is really easy with some repetition. And welcome to tulpa.info. :) 7 Hours of Active Forcing 8 Hours & 29 Minutes of Active Forcing 10 Hours of Active Forcing
Koji November 2, 2013 November 2, 2013 To preface this, I have almost no experience with hypnosis, just basing this on logic. To your first question: I feel that as long as you were making a clear distinction between yourself and your tulpa (that is to say, believing that you are two entirely different entities), then it would be almost identical to a normal hypnosis. However, this would happen pretty far on into the tulpa-ing process, or at least when you really feel the difference. As for the second one, I'm sure that auditory hypnosis would work much better, but mental would work to some extent. As Linkzelda said, it has a lot to do with believing. http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Koji-and-Catelyn-Of-Deserts-and-Snowmen
