Scarecrow November 23, 2013 November 23, 2013 I've been working on my tulpa for a while now, regularly actively and passively forcing, and recently I've started to get results. He moves on his own, responds with facial movements to things I talk to him about, but currently there have been no clear, definite vocal responses. What I have gotten, however, is a sense of him wanting to respond but deciding not to at the last minute, or not being able to word it properly. Sort of like when you open your mouth to say something and end up not saying it. It's happened a few times, the first two or three I put down as me wanting him to respond and trying to parrot him but not being able to think of a response fast enough, but it keeps happening and feels more and more like it's coming from him in my mind. Anyone else had this?
KenzieK November 23, 2013 November 23, 2013 Tulpas learn to speak, they don't automatically know how. My tulpa went through a similar phase for a week or so. My advice is to just keep narrating and encourage him to communicate in anyway he knows how (emotion response, facial expressions, etc). Some tulpas try to speak and end up just making random, weak sounding noises so if that happens it's normal. Maybe he's afraid of trying to speak and sounding silly? Name-Yuki Sex-Female Form1-Arctic wolf, big blue eyes Form2-Long white hair, blue eyes, pale skin, white wolf ears/tail, light blue jacket Personality-Compassionate, calm, sarcastic, playful, protective, introverted Stage-Sentient, vocal, working on possession
LordV November 23, 2013 November 23, 2013 Tammy was like that for a little while. I could tell what she wanted to say, but she couldn't quite get it out. Eventually I decided that the best way to help here would actually be to parrot the responses for her when she couldn't articulate them properly, thinking that it would teach her to use her own mind voice. I think it worked out pretty well. My tulpa Name: Tammy Sex: female Species: Anthro (red fox) Working on: imposition
Quilten November 23, 2013 November 23, 2013 I'm not surprised. This is a fairly common problem. Just work on vocalization. Even though my username is that of my tulpa, Quilten, my name is Phaneron, the host, who does all of the actual posting. Tulpas: Quilten, Jira
