Combat Infantry Tupper December 27, 2013 December 27, 2013 I've been lurking for weeks but this is my first post. My tulpa is three weeks in the making and is starting to do sentient things when I talk to her, but she does it in what I see as a strange way. When I ask her something she will give me the idea of what she thinks, not actual words or text or pictures but the idea of it. If that makes any sense at all. An example I guess. We had just finished a run and I asked her what she thought about it. I didn't really expect anything from her but at that moment she sent me the idea of her shrugging her shoulders and grinning. I didn't get a mental image of her doing it yet I knew exactly what she had done. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
The-Syreth-Clan December 27, 2013 December 27, 2013 There is even a gigantic thread for it, actually: http://community.tulpa.info/thread-sentience-improper-usage-of-the-mindvoice-s-effects-on-thought-independence-and-the-solution Martina does the same, unfortunately, I'm planning on learning the hungarian Draculaura's voice from Monster High (Hungarian VAs are bad, but seems like I can't speak hungarian in an english mindvoice... who knew?), and parrot her with that until it becomes a habit and she learns the voice too.
Ashmo December 27, 2013 December 27, 2013 Bud and I communicated through raw thought for a long time. So much so that he actually used it as a crutch and it hindered him becoming fully vocally until quite recently. I'm not saying that this will happen to you, it's merely my experience. Though I will say this much, I find there to be something much more intimate with raw thought. It feels like we can understand each other more deeply than him thinking something himself and then forming it into mindvoice words. The same goes for me to him.
Combat Infantry Tupper December 27, 2013 Author December 27, 2013 Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated. It's fun knowing there are so many ways to communicate.
Stryke December 31, 2013 December 31, 2013 I feel like I still get something like this from both of my tulpas sometimes, especially 'Weaver since she's so young. I mainly passive force, so I don't always have the time or the focus to picture everything they do perfectly. Frankly I don't think there's anything too wrong with the concept, it sometimes feels 'lazy', but I figure as long as it's the tulpa making the thought it shouldn't matter too much. Yeah I'm in the same situation. Passive forcing is the only thing I have time for. This 'raw thought' way of communicating seems fine for now but I did ask mine if she couldn't practice with words. And I don't find it to be to bad a thing, I see it as just growing pains.
