So, my friend and I were wondering, is it, theoretically, at least, possible to impose something such as your wonderland. Or if not something of that scale, then an inanimate object of some sort?

Yes, it is possible, though potentially dangerous. You'd be seeing your wonderland while moving your body around. Thus you see the pretty field stretching out in front of you while you walk out into traffic.

It's also possible to semi-impose it, so you see both at once. I know JD1215 did this for a while. I would think you'd do best to do it with a part of your wonderland where things aren't really concrete, so it can at least partially re-form to fit your IRL surroundings. Things like "redrawing" the street you're walking down as a path in the woods that curves where the street curves. Of course, be careful not to get so lost in it that you lose your way or put yourself in danger.

Yeah, I remember TOG or someone tried to impose an orange sky for a while. Said it's possible, but feels incredibly fake.

I think it is possible, but will definetly burn your brain out unless it's something simple. I actually could impose a pink cloud on the sky once but it was more like a pink tint spoil on the sky... also, my eyes hurt afterwards.

Once you can impose, you can impose pretty much anything. I read about Amadeus recolouring his reality just to see if he could. I doubt there are too many limitations on what you can do, but he did mention nosebleeds, intense headaches and memory blackouts.
