Ricky_Ratt November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 Its my second day tending to creating my tulpa. I have invested more than 70 minutes into his existance. The only problem I have is, Im talking to Ratt (his name), but I feel its to early as I can barely even see him. Though, I have a strong grasp of his image in my mind's eye. So I cant help but think Im talking to myself more so than him as he's more so an idea than a sentient forethought.
Actinium November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 You don't always have to talk to him using your physical voice, you can talk to him through mindvoice as well (IE: The voice that you hear in your head as you're reading this unless you're reading it out loud.) You could also try to develop his voice early on and use his voice as your mind voice if you have an idea of what he'll sound like. The purpose of narration is to feel that you're talking to your tulpa as if he was really there. Also, you don't have to worry about feeling like you're talking to yourself, he's definitely listening. If you have a good image of him in your mind's eye, try analyzing it. Think of it like a part of a video game that lets you look at character models. Think of what he looks like when he does everyday actions like walking, running, jumping, stuff like that. Guest amber5885 November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 70 minutes is nothing. It can take weeks or months to hear your tulpa it's all dependent on the person and seeing with you actual Eyes take TONS of practice. You have to have a fully sentient and vocal tulpa before even considering imposition and most people haven't achieved it. This isn't a slow process it's a life long commitment that can take a very long time to see results and in the beginning it's all based on faith. For instance personally it took me about two weeks to hear his first words and anothe week or so before I could see him in my minds eye, about a month before I would call him fully sentient. And it's been 22 years I have had him but only 6 months of solid effort and I am nowhere near visual imposition yet. It takes time and patience. Also belief. Skepticism is healthy in small doses but in large quantities it can make your tulpa neurotic. Just keep narrating if you are still interested and eventually you will see progress, how long that will take I can't tell you.
Ricky_Ratt November 6, 2014 Author November 6, 2014 Talking to him aloud feels more natural but I dont think it would hurt to try speaking through the mind. The latter requires more concentration which is why Ive never attempted it. And I will definetly analyze him and his voice more. Thanks for the advice.
FurryBlueNaki November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 What does it mean for a tulpa to be neurotic? Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox. Birthdate September 20, 2014. Sentient October 1, 2014.
Guest amber5885 November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 Depends on the tulpa some can go out of their way to prove themselves l you, others can become depressed or just melancholy. Some will stop talking and some will talk too much to prove that they're there

Guest amber5885 November 6, 2014 November 6, 2014 You can either talk out loud of through mind voice and both are equally fine. The former has the risk of being caught and the ensuing embarrassment is the only downside. But both are fine it's just a matter of what you're comfortable with. He will hear you either way.
