Silvia November 8, 2014 November 8, 2014 [video=youtube] Hey there, folks. I've been around these parts for a long time, and I've you've read a lot of threads on here, I'm sure you've seen at least one of my posts. Even with all of the time I've spent here, I haven't been successful in creating my own tulpa. I've tried multiple times, but I'm an impatient and forgetful person, so it didn't work out for me, regardless of what the method was. After all of these attempts, I decided that this wasn't for me, but after seeing some recent /x/ threads about tulpas, I decided that I should give it one more shot, and document my progress here for you all to see. I've been reading through a lot of the guides, trying to see what I'll be doing this time around, and I think that I'm going to be skipping personality. I'd rather have all of that pop up on its own, so I'll be focusing on narration and visualization. I think that I'm great when it comes to visualization, but not so much with narration, since I tend to drift off when I'm talking about something, and I forget to do it a lot, too. I'll try to set up some reminders to help me out with that. I'll try to narrate as much as I can throughout the day, with 1hr narration + visualization sessions before bed. I have a hard enough time falling asleep as it is, so I don't think I'll have to worry about that during a session. As for the name and form, I'm not entirely sure what I'll be doing. I was thinking of using Silvia as the name, with Emily Kinney as the form. I know that all of this might not stick, of course, and that the tulpa can change whatever they'd like at any time, but these are just the placeholders for now. I'll try to update this as often as I can. It might not be a daily thing, but I'll still get around to it.
Cinemaphobe November 8, 2014 November 8, 2014 Well since you aren't new to the site then there is no need for me to say "Welcome!" lol. But don't worry. It took many attempts for me to create my tulpa because my mind changes about things all of the time, but eventually I put my foot down and decided that this would be the final attempt. I really hope that this time you can succeed this time because sometimes all you need is just one good final attempt! "Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative." Yumi + Cinema
arcanemagic November 8, 2014 November 8, 2014 It can be difficult, but believe me, it's worth it. If you stick with it, you'll create a tulpa eventually! Markus is the tulpa, and I don't really have anything else to say. Markus speaks in Blue!
Silvia November 9, 2014 Author November 9, 2014 [video=youtube] Today was more of a reading day, where I went through some progress reports and some more guides on the forums here, trying to to get a better idea of what I'm going to do. I didn't start with narration yet, but I'll probably be doing that before I head to bed. I'm not very good with introductions, but I think I'll do decent job when it comes to introducing myself to the tulpa and explaining what'll I'll be doing and what my goals are. --- My reasons for making a tulpa have changed over the time I've spent trying this. At first, it was just for a companion and all of that, someone who could give me a second opinion on things, but now it's just to see if I'm capable of doing such a thing. I'd still like a companion, of course, but that's not my main reason anymore. Well since you aren't new to the site then there is no need for me to say "Welcome!" lol. But don't worry. It took many attempts for me to create my tulpa because my mind changes about things all of the time, but eventually I put my foot down and decided that this would be the final attempt. I really hope that this time you can succeed this time because sometimes all you need is just one good final attempt! Good that you were able to put your foot down, it's a very hard thing to do. This should (hopefully) be the attempt that does it for me, and really gets me on track with this whole thing. I'll try my best with it, haha. It can be difficult, but believe me, it's worth it. If you stick with it, you'll create a tulpa eventually! Yeah, I'll definitely be able to do it if I put in enough effort and time. It's just getting into the habit of narrating that'll be difficult to me, but I'm sure I can do it.
Silvia November 10, 2014 Author November 10, 2014 [video=youtube] I started to narrate this morning with an introductory session in which I, you know, introduced myself to my tulpa, talked about what a tulpa was, and about all of my goals with this. I ended up saying a lot more than I thought I would, and most of what I said seemed to flow well, so I'm on the right track with that. I didn't visualize the tulpa's form at all, but I tried to keep the color blue in my mind to make sure that I was directing my thoughts towards her. After that, I tried to narrate as much as I could throughout the day. There were a few distractions, and I did forget about narrating a few times, but this is already a lot better than my previous attempts. I was worried about not saying anything worthwhile at first, but then I remember that quantity > quality when it comes to narration, and just talked about whatever was happening around me. I didn't do a dedicated session yet, but I'll do some narration and visualization before I sleep.
Zyangur November 10, 2014 November 10, 2014 I'm glad it's going well so far :D. I know you will be able to succeed this time. I also just talk to my tulpa, Glaen, about whatever is happening around me. When I do dedicated forcing sessions, I usually try to talk or focus on one thing, but during the day when I'm just narrating to her I just talk about random things.
Silvia November 11, 2014 Author November 11, 2014 [video=youtube] After narrating for just a bit more last night, I decided to go and do a visualization session in bed. I had a lot of problems when it came to visualizing the facial expressions with this one, and the form just didn't seem to fit. I know that a lot of other people have a hard time with the face, but I doubt I'd be able to do much with just one reference image, and I'm not at all creative, so I can't make an original character or anything like that. Because of this, I was trying to look for a better form that I could use for Silvia*, and ended up finding this in a thread on /v/. This character has a lot of artwork, and I'm sure that I'd be able to find enough facial expressions to help me out. *Note that I updated the OP with the new form, since we're still very early in. Narration is getting a lot easier, and I haven't had a problem with it at all today. It's getting easier and easier for me to talk about things, and I'm rarely getting distracted. Very happy with that. I'm glad it's going well so far :D. I know you will be able to succeed this time. I also just talk to my tulpa, Glaen, about whatever is happening around me. When I do dedicated forcing sessions, I usually try to talk or focus on one thing, but during the day when I'm just narrating to her I just talk about random things. Yeah, I usually try to focus on one thing during dedicated sessions as well, and ramble on about whatever the fuck during the day. Good luck with your tulpa!
Silvia November 12, 2014 Author November 12, 2014 [video=youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JU0a4lelya8 Narration, narration, and more narration. Focusing on the tulpa is a lot easier than before, and there aren't as many distractions as before, but there are still times throughout my day where I'm focusing too much on one thing, and can't narrate at all. That's no problem, though, as long as I'm doing as much as I can. I'm not entirely sure if this form is working better than the other one, since I'm still having difficulty with the facial expressions, but I'm sure that it'll get better with some good practice. I'll have to put in a good hour or two every day to make sure that I'm consistent with my practice. I've been considering making a wonderland, but I doubt that I'd be using that too much, and when I'm able to visualize the tulpa as well as I'd like to, I'm going to start on imposition.
October November 12, 2014 November 12, 2014 Dang! Wrote a lot, but the computer crashed. How will you be doing imposition? If you immediately know the candlelight is fire, then the meal was cooked a long time ago.

Active sessions with this method for a few hours every day, once I get to that point. It'll be a while until I get there, I'm sure, so I'm not too worried about that right now. --- Narration has been a bit slow over the past few days, and there have been a lot of apologies and all of that, but it looks as if my schedule isn't going to be packed over the next few days, so I hope I'm able to do more.
