I know they'd be a good help with my depression, but I'm also afraid they'd get sad if they can't help me... because ya can't just "cheer up" a clinically depressed person..

My main concern though is actually, the long run. I wouldn't have much time for them with my schedule over the next 2 years, and sure I could just bring them along with me on certain parts and I'd totally do that but... the thing that's really bothering me is, I'm afraid I wouldn't be that good of a host. I value my alone time, and I need it far more than most do because I tire easily and any kind of social interaction wears me out.

Basically I'm afraid I'll end up ignoring my tulpa, because either I'm too busy or I need my alone time... which would probably make them feel lonely, like they've lost their worth, if they ever had any at all. I don't want to do that to them.

Should I still make a tulpa?

Leo, he/him. 6yo, mentally 21. inactive.

I know this probably won't be helpful but it's really up to you. If you think that the pros outweigh the cons then go for it. If you really try your hardest to spend time and enjoy time with your tulpa then go for it. If, however, you feel like you truly won't be up to the task, and you'll be consistently ignoring your tulpa then don't go for it. It really just is up to you. This is a very very VERY personalized thing. Or, at least, it seems to me that it is. There's really no definitive answer that I can give you. I don't know anything about your situation besides what you've put in this post so I don't really think that I can give any kind of good advice. The fact that you're concerned about your tulpa shows that you care, at least. If you care for and really try with your tulpa they'll be just fine :P

Markus is the tulpa, and I don't really have anything else to say.

Only thing I can think to say, is that you'd be surprised what a tulpa can do even given a little bit of energy here and there. And you'd also be surprised what they can fix / alleviate.

I mean, worst case scenario is that nothing happens. Why not go for it?

Currently share myself with four other entities.

Anzu was reborn on May 23, 2016.  Xiri returned on June 16, 2018.  Both had been inactive since 2012.

Progress Report | Ask a Question Thread

Alright so after reading your replies, and some contemplation, research and consulting of a friend, I've officially decided I will indeed make a tulpa. Thanks both of you for your input [seriously, it helped :3], hopefully my depression won't force me back to my ridiculous pessimistic mindset again. XD

If you don't want to do that to them you probably won't unless your a lazy ditch like me(Facepalm is real). By the way, you can always chill with your tulpa instead of "Alone time" its not like they don't understand your understanding of chill time, so probably wouldn't be that disturbing.

Shade is the tulpa, [stuff]=her. Her form is: pegasus mlp pony with dark grey coat and black mane and tail.
