I also do it like Pleeb says whenever it happens to me, though I don't have that many intrusive thoughts; I either talk it away or visually imagine it being destroyed.

You could try creating a small ritual to neutralise the thoughts or just focus your full attemntion a few seconds on suppressing them, this will by no means get rid of them permanently but with little practice it should buy you enough time to finish your session.

However you should know that there is a possibility that this will increase their strength over longer period of time.
