Have fun
-
In a couple of hours we will be going to Chloe's friend's house for a 4th of July cookout! 😁🍔🌭 Chloe isn't in the mood to wear anything overtly patriotic for obvious reasons, so she has compromised by wearing a Phillies shirt ⚾. (Their colors are red white and blue)

It's ok, we forgot we were too, lol. We saw the episode were they just arrived at the end, so no spoilers. 😁 Also, we don't really care about spoilers. It doesn't change the experience for us. 😊 I hope you have fun with your friend, eat something delicious, have an extra good meditation session! 😊
-
I see. I have follow-up questions but I'll have to put a mental bookmark in this to ask you some other time. ☺️

i don't want to spend a whole lot of time going into it right now, but essentially, i think that the power structures that the united states is based around inherently make it difficult to create an equitable society, and that as long as we are relying on working with these systems, we will not see real change. assets must be seized from exploitative corporations and redistributed in restitution for native displacement, slavery, and labor theft

Yes! If anything, survive to spite the government's cruel practices. 🔥 Honestly, I feel it's more survive in the face of incompetence/not caring about anyone but themselves. 😮💨 Lol, that clip. 🤣 I think we were about to watch that episode next, we completely forgot.

so many people in wheel chairs who are clearly disabled were repeatedly entering government buildings protesting the bill saying the cuts will literally end their lives. either they were mistaken or the cuts affect even disabled people. but other politicians didnt deny they would die. i cant remember her name but a maga republican senator i think literally said when told her vote for the bill would kill people was "everybody dies" as if it doesnt matter. and it has been factored 50,000 more people will die a year due to these cuts. that's like 50,000 mourning families a year mourning something easily avoidable in a civilized society we somehow dont have thanks chloe im glad you can be positive despite this horrible news somehow in other news, the saiyans have landed on earth bro really said:
-
This is the inevitable outcome of a system that sees everyone and everything as merely economic units. The system sees people like you as meaningless waste that needs to be cut. That's why it is fundamentally okay with cutting off support to disabled people and letting nature take its course. We need a system that is built around the value of the human being as a human being at it's core, not the human being as an economic unit. Money and economics should be a tool that makes large-scale human interaction more efficient, not a goal and an end in itself. Please survive, because in this climate survival is a revolutionary act. ✊

If people like you and us lose medicaid, it'll be WAY more than 12 million people - they're mostly (cruelly) trying to cut poor people off, but the people with more reason than just financial should still be able to get it. If not.. Well, take care of your health for as long as the revolution takes.
-
thanks. i like the huge hug idek how one gets to qualify as disabled. it feels like being in mental hospital multiple times a year over course of several years and having a lot of programs and extra help to do bare minimum of functioning because i can't take care of myself on my own is not enough to be qualified as disabled. if only doctors got to decide if you are disabled instead of the government deciding
-
You just have to make sure you qualify as disabled then, same as us. We might try to get an OCD diagnosis just to add to our list, but the big one is executive dysfunction, and we're feeling that as much as ever now.
-
I really really appreciate that you're so optimistic! 😊 It makes me feel better about everything that's going on. It's too early for me to put my thoughts together but I wanted to let you know how much it means to me to see someone being positive with politics. 💜 I just really wish I had the powers to fix this for you. 😢 All I can do is be emotional support, so that's what I'm going to do! (つ✿^‿^)つ

Let's make Chappell Roan president already

I definitely understand why you would have that perspective, TB. This country, its institutions its people have failed you in many tragic ways. 😢

that would be 20 hours a week, which no i do not meet that and it would be very stressful to try and force myself to do so. so i'm screwed. so is my friend who is also unable to get a job as he's been fried from working at gomart and walmart for collectively like 7 or so years and being abused by management. super lucky they got their gallbladder surgery before these cuts because i imagine if it was after, medicaid would not have paid it for them and they'd be forced to die with an unremoved damaged gallbladder that caused them debilitating pain unfortunately for me i do not a lot of the time just passively love people and the people i care about in particular doesn't symbolize the concept of america to me in any way. we are a failed state and there is nothing to be proud of. it has nice land and nature that is cool i guess. but i have no respect for its institutions or a large percentage of the people who live here as a lot of them are incredibly ignorant and/or racist and shallow i also learned that trump's base supports him more than any other republican base supported any republican president in history, INCLUDING the literally deified ronald reagan who is basically a god to republicans, trump has surpassed that. cruelty is the point, and his base loves the cruelty and suffering he causes to innocent people. they think it makes him extra cool and respectable i've never felt more unsafe in my life

Well, I heard 80 hours a month for non-disabled, but I don't know if you or we count as "disabled" to them or not. But I'm sure you hit 80 hours a month, right? At least that's the only hour requirement I saw, I didn't read the full bill obviously.

I still love America despite everything because to me America is first and foremost just people. 🧑🤝🧑👨👩👧 ☺️ America is my friends and neighbors and the cashier at the Wawa; American government and politics is all just something we have to deal with and suffer through together. There is this general feeling out there that we could always do better, be better people, make better choices, and I think as long as that spirit stays alive there is always a hope that we can create a kinder and more just system, or at the very least force our current system in a kinder and more just direction. ☺️

heard ICE is now more funded than our marines somehow also trump has made a concentration camp in florida called alligator alcatraz. they will deputize immigration judges (which probably means finding some random maga/neo nazi off the street) to make decisions faster, which probably means just telling them to make decision to deport anyone that comes in front of them, because they keep getting mad that immigration judges sometimes decide to not deport the people they see and then they get in trouble when the try deporting them anyway wonder how long it will be before it turns out where ever immigrants are being sent to are being mass executed. have sent i think nearly 1000 to CECOT already and they brag that anyone who enters never comes out alive, so many have been sentence to death of old age/medical complications in an extrajudicial prison due to mistake of being too brown on american soil with no crime history whatsoever, in the current best case scenario. the reality could be worse and it not be known yet and yeah they will probably have a 20 or 30 hour a week work requirements for medicaid, and i'm struggling to get considered disabled by the government for getting SSI, so i will probably lose medicaid, which means losing the program that brings me my medicine, the ability to afford the medicine, and the ability to get help with any government papers to fill out or given rides to any appointments, but not like i can afford the appointments anymore either way. so probably going to have to work hard to make living drawing without adhd medication to help and hope i never get sick such that i risk dying. that's fun. i hate it here the more they create people with nothing to lose the more i think there will be extreme full scale violence against the government also trump for the i don't know how manyth times restated his intention to put american citizens in these camps and deport them, so be careful speaking poorly of trump or his administration even if you're white i guess

The un-united states of america
-
Good morning! ☺️ Yeah that stupid bill is actually 90s Cartoon Villain levels of evil. I always try to look for the good in everything though, and the one silver lining is that it's so bad it's bound to unify people in protesting and resisting it. I tend to fall on this side of the argument, but I'm curious about this: If not the USA what do you think should exist in the territory that that USA currently occupies?
-
i'm not in favor of the usa at all. i don't think it should exist
-
Remember to associate the US flag with protests. Don't let them steal it like they currently are. We who want the best for everyone are who want the best for the country, so we should use the flag.
-
yeah, it's pretty bad

$75 billion straight to ICE, another $75 billion to Trump's border wall and enforcement $100 minimum asylum-seeking fee, and $100 -> $900 fee for appealing immigration court decisions, because the immigration process is well known for being affordable and not severely corrupt and inefficient Cut medicaid re-application time from every year to every 6 months, plus nuances to kick an estimated 12mil people off it (poor people who aren't severely disabled, including parents) And other stuff that's not great (hugely increasing US debt etc.), but those are the immediately scary/evil things I saw.
