  1. Past hour
  2. She's good, she says hi I've been a bit on edge lately, I see things that I've seen happen once or twice already and I fear I have no control over it happening again History has a funny way of repeating itself, and it's rarely ever fair
  3. Good day Matt. How are you and Cheryl? I hope Jezebel enjoyed taking the art class. What part of the lesson did she enjoy best? Imposition is one of the best parts of tulpamancy. I could experiment with Twi for hours. The one thing that drew me to imposition is the quasi-physical closeness it enables. I've not gotten to full-blown immersion but she's very apparent on account of how long she's been alive.
  4. They're 200mg ibuprofens, the normal kind Three very rarely cures headaches for me, 4 always does, but in the rare 5% or so cases presumably 5 were needed Unfortunately taking more ibuprofen doesn't do anything for me at least, even if it's only 45 minutes later - I actually took 3 more this time about an hour later but it didn't matter, no difference Anyways I think I'm going to sleep, good night
  5. Of course! 😊 I've been great! 😁 All we have to do is spell/grammar check our work and send it in and then we'll be done with our summer class! 🤩 More time to give to the many other things we want to do. (Like hopefully Imposition practice.)
  6. sup Karl
  7. Thank you very much, Shaula. How have you been? @Luminesce hi there
  8. Poor you. (I don't really know what else to say.)
  9. Today
  10. that's a lot. unless they're really small pills or something
  11. four ibuprofen wasn't enough for this headache, dang, that's rare wasn't even that bad of a headache before, but a headache that won't go away is a bad headache so
  12. Another WBTB lucid dream, courtesy of me going to sleep at 5AM, and getting bombarded with phone calls / messages at 8-9AM up until I just gave up and left the bed, spent a few hours awake, then tried to sleep again. The dream was nothing special, it was me driving and arriving home (from an unknown location) and after parking the car I noticed that literally everyone on the street was staring at me (this is likely a reference from one of my favourite movies) The situation immediately sussed me out, and I asked Cheryl what was wrong - that was probably the "trigger" that made me realize "welp, this is a dream" I didn't fly around or do weird stuff, I just walked around and calmly tried to keep everything "stable" - there's the ending part that I don't remember because not every detail can be remembered in a LD but I know it "collapsed" into hypnagogia, and I woke up IRL with the usual adrenaline rush that makes you alert.
  13. Belated hi Karl
  14. Belated hi, Karl! 😊
  15. Akai Megane is the first motion picture released as part of the KERBEROS saga. Canonically it is the last film of the series, however this has little relevance as the background of that world doesn't flourish until one views STRAYDOG: KERBEROS PANZER COPS, and more importantly, JIN ROH: THE WOLF BRIGADE. The lattermost is considered by most to be Oshii's most recognised work, and has a sort of cult following in Japan. Most infamous of its subject matter is the imposing Protect Gear, also known as the Kerberos armour. It was worn by the Tokyo Special Metropolitan Police as a means to more urgently fight terrorism plots that occur in in the capital. They have distinct red night vision for seeing in the dark, and it is from these we derive the title of the film (Akai Megane is Japanese for the Red Spectacles.) The way you describe Arale's combat attributes fits Twi to a T. I think if she were a woman with her own body, she would just break reality on merit of who she is as a person. She also has a penchant for running incredibly fast, so I could see her pushing people over or just wailing on them in a free-for-all. The way you describe Gohan is fairly competent for a young person routinely thrust into crises. As a young man, I only ever saw the sanitised dub of Dragon Ball Z on cable television, so the Frieza arc never seemed so dire. Planet Namek being destroyed had remained in the plot, and given the orders of magnitude the Z-fighters encountered, that isn't out of the ordinary for a genocidal villain that wants to eliminate another species outright. Furthermore, I'm wondering if Gohan would resemble certain states one encounters in Buddhism. His calm acceptance of certain demise reminds me of the Bardo Thodol, as one of its key precepts concerns one preparing for the next plane of reality, or bardo that follows death. I can't help but see parallels in my own youth. When I was a young man, I found that calmness and a sense of weighted reality came to my aid more than fear or unresolved panic. Gohan represents quiet strength in adversity, and I'd imagine a great deal of kids would find that very useful, if not inspirational in some way.
  16. Unfortunate. Definitely something to be happy about in my book. 😁 Same, lol.
  17. oh, i see. well i'm glad i never thought of it that way my media literacy is evolving every day
  18. The mothers, picard. The mothers need love
  19. Frustrated about ADHD? Just kind of always been how my brain is I was able to focus on Flan for most that time because I was just walking in circles inside, and only focused on talking to her, lol
  20. Well, it worked. I couldn't tell if he was or not. We got pretty good at this stuff but probably for different reasons.
  21. bre's chaos factor and oh lol
  22. gotta keep 'em guessing it's just as opaque to me. o'brien is barely a character at this point in the show. he only got a name a few episodes ago
  23. i thought bre's post was funny lol then i remembered the star trek screen cap i saw yesterday and shared it, even though i don't understand it well, i thought she'd maybe have more context to find it funny also i also want to say grats for lumi and flan, though he also seems frustrated. i think thanks to tb's past, the brain got for free a very above average ability to vividly imagine and automatically manage multiple identities while doing something mundane like walking. also because i'm remembering that it would apply back when tb and rena would take relaxing walks when they lived in a higher degree of relative privacy for nearby walking options lol, tb used to have the issue that their body would mimic rena's emoting, so if she got excited and threw her hands in the air, tb'd do the same. lucky they were not in visible sight of anyone usually
