Can't say if it was intentional but college football had some issues with that too, if I remember correctly. Good night, Byakko! 😊

here is a video about the draft conspiracy and the act of tanking games i don't have a source for referees being biased other than how often people complain of that happening and seeing examples of it does look pretty unbelievable. not calling fouls from one team basically assaulting another team, but calling fouls for the other team if it vaguely looks like they touched each other but yeah idk much about sports and don't care too much but when i happen to hear about sports it frequently involves corruption or insanity in some way also wow, it's almost midnight. i wish i got to draw a bit more. made progress on animation but... still a long way to go. maybe in 2 or 3 more days it will be done if i'm lucky! goodnight all, and np ys

Good afternoon! (maybe? but your signature is really cool!) nice to meet you! I encountered this situation a few days ago too, so don't worry! Hello Ys! you look cool, and I didn't know how to greet you... So hello, I'm Richard! Hello, I'm Titan! 😊

i don't know to what extent it is the case, but there is a wendigoon video about history of how the NBA drafts had been rigged in a way that doesn't involve neutrally building teams, and that it is set up in a way where it is common to intentionally have a team throw matches to manipulate the draft and when it comes to hearing people talk about the knicks game, i guess the referees were calling fouls extremely unfairly to intentionally tank it for the knicks to try to artificially draw out the play offs so they wouldn't just win 3-0 or something, which seems very lame, and it isn't the first time i've heard people complain of the practice in professional sports also, ever since our economy became a gambling economy with all this sports betting, it has added an even further layer of corruption to professional sports that can contribute to games being intentionally thrown to make people money so i don't think it is fixed in the same way that pro wrestling is because in that they are writing a storyline and the wrestlers are playing up a role, so it is some sort of unreality fiction that has the potential to be entertaining if the story is good and the wrestlers are talented. with other sports, it just seems it is presented as actual athletes trying to compete to win, but in reality there are multiple ways to manipulate outcomes, and multiple motivations for that to happen i think it is in category of conspiracy theory, but it feels like a non insignificant portion of fans believe it to be the case on some level or another, and there are some instances in history where it seems basically undeniable that shadeyness has happened, and also throwing games intentionally to try to get better draft picks is like a part of the meta in NBA in the past

double posting isn't a big deal in this thread, but for future use, if you click on the three dots at the top left of your post, it will show you a dropdown menu with an "edit" button
-
Glad to! 😊 Yeah, it's no problem here. We've even had triple/quadruple posts, lol.
-
Thanks, Byakko, Shaula. I haven’t figured out editing posts so I have to double post for this, but that’s not against the rules in this particular thread… right?
-
Take care, we'll miss you guys. We always enojyed your guys' posts. Come back any time you like.

Goodnight, to everyone who it applies to. *looks up at the blazing sun* I want it to be night right now, but alas time doesn’t follow my command.
-
Oof, that sucks when that happens. No worries about bothering us. We get it if you need to vent. We'd also be happy to help if we can. 😁
-
Maybe I should send a text message at the right time? It's already 11 o'clock in Atlanta now... Also, I think I should wish those who are going to bed a good night!
-
is that true? like, pro wrestling is its own thing, but i didn't realize that fixed matches were common in other professional sports as well
-
oof, that sucks. that's happened to us too, just having the site eat a post for whatever reason. sometimes we copy them just incase it doesn't save or post properly everyone needs to rant sometimes, so don't feel bad about that. though i understand the feeling of not wanting to retype a big post

I had a dream I was waiting for someone to reply to this thread. Can you believe I wasted MY dream on something so mundane? I can't even remember if our brain came up with anything helpful. Maybe possessing the body is the trick to having shared dreams. (We actually fell asleep while trying to have a conversation, but possession is worth a try, right?) How so? Everyone means different things by "parallel processing", so it's kinda meaningless to us. When you fall asleep, or in the dream? Does she dream or appear in your dreams more when she falls asleep switched in? Fennec wants to try SSILD. I'll see if I can coach them through it. Fennec, taking a nap? ...all I can say is we're both reading this. Sounds like it could be a trick to summoning me, too. We'll try it.

I typed out a rant and my faulty watch inputs swallowed it whole. On second thought I probably shouldn’t bother people with my problems and I definitely don’t have enough drive to type the whole thing out again, so it’s kind of a good thing? Still slightly annoyed though. It seems that only typing in the prompt window from my first click on the text box allows input, and everything from the second input onwards just gets lost. I should probably feel lucky that I can access internet at all, I’m at school and normally nobody gets any internet even in break periods.

Good morning, everyone! Great news! That iPhone has a chance to be activated through normal methods! I found a T-Mobile SIM card in the iPhone, so if this SIM card is the security number for the Apple ID, the password can be retrieved! I inserted this card into an Android phone, and there was a phone number on it. The seller said it hasn't been used for at least a few years... I called this number with my other Chinese phone number, and it seemed to connect to someone's voicemail... But I hung up without leaving a message (I didn't have the courage to leave a message for a stranger, and my English isn't very good). I hope I didn't scare him...

Agreed.

Wrestling is intentional entertainment Most other big sports at least in the US are pretty corrupt these days
-
it seems strange it seems like it is an open secret that pro sports having fixing and rigging but people still enjoy them i guess wrestling is fake too though and it can be entertaining if it has a good storyline, so maybe that is the mindset people watch it with. though it doesn't seem like the intention with most sports is to be fun

Lucid dreaming is the priority right now (aside from generally trying to navigate life). Kayleigh posted a thread last night asking about how she can help me lucid dream, then dreamt about watching it for replies. Neither of us remember who replied in the dream, but we think someone did. (We shared the dream; I experienced it from her point of view.) She woke up to my MP3 player making glitchy sounds (it's fine, but the speaker acts up now and then), and just as she was about to turn it off, our brain woke up enough to remember who the default user of this body is and shoved me back in front. It was weird. After we had our "Did that just happen?" moment and tried in vain to recall any more detail of the dream, I decided to try WILD (wake-induced lucid dreaming), except I couldn't remember how to do it beyond "keep your mind awake while your body falls asleep," so I figured I'd just focus on hypnagogic imagery when it appeared and hope it transitions to a dream without me losing focus. I fell asleep before I saw anything. Bummer. I came across a post on reddit today about how to choose the right lucid dreaming technique for you based on your personality. Apparently, SSILD is ideal for those with analytical minds. I'm not entirely sure why that is or even why it works, but it seems like a simple technique, so I'm going to give it a try next time I wake up in the night. (Yes, it's one of those techniques you have to do after sleeping a few hours. No, I don't want to set an alarm. I'm a light sleeper, so I've got a good enough chance of waking up anyway.) We're going to take a look at the replies to Kayleigh's thread in a bit. We skimmed over them this morning, but she wanted to save any discussion for the evening so it'd be fresher in our minds at bedtime. Tomorrow, visualization practice and maybe something fun in the mindscape. I'll be spending a couple hours in the backseat of my parents' car, so I might as well take advantage of that time. I'm really hoping to lucid dream and enter the Liminal World tonight so I can finally start developing it beyond visualizing the same room. This is going to become our Wonderland 2.0—this time with NPCs and built-in stories and adventure.

It sucks, but never being able to do anything is really scary too
