I swear some day I'll somehow figure out how to read a book faster than a year and experience the horror genre through the medium of a novel, even to see how I like it compared to the others ways I usually experience it which is a relatively small selection of games and movies, creepypasta readings, or SCP articles (maybe other things I've forgotten. also dreams, if that counts. sometimes you get the right mix of horrifying nightmare that's fascinating or poignant instead of just upsetting terror)
-
I really like Ted and I aspire to be more like him. Apparently he is a defined presence in THE DARK TOWER, and his being a free agent with psychic powers inures him to various evils, namely the titular Low Men, is inspiring.
-
Huh, interesting Stephen King seems to like to write about people with psychic abilities (as far as I've osmosised because I've never read a book of his or watched any movies based on his stuff because I'm a troglodyte lol) Lolol, yeah I'd feel devastated for you even Don't let her transform into the Friendly Bunny of Indignation, aka the FBI
-
That would be Lol. Sounds like a nice title. π Sounds interesting. π
-
Press gangs for the draft and police action for dissenters/political inconveniences
-
How in the world does the metaphor connect with ted?
-
Goog morging, etc In the book a character named Ted Brautigan becomes the object of fascination for a young boy named Bobby Garfield. At first Bobby considers him a somewhat delusional old man but finds that he is, in fact, the target of monsters that are desperate to seize him on account of Ted's reality-warping powers HEARTS IN ATLANTIS is effectively King's mourning the Sixties overall as a casualty of the Vietnam War The LOW MEN IN YELLOW COATS is effectively a scathing metaphor for how individuslity is suppressed by predatory group-behaviour

a few hours before that, there was some of the most chaotic and hellish sleep paralysis ever experienced and what i thought was a seizure or something except idk if you can be conscious for that or hallucinate that or idk what. and thought we were dying for a moment but it was comparatively peaceful compared to the sheet attack schizophrenia following me to extus and back bruh or weighted blanket is literally haunted because it happened after putting that on and trying to sleep under it, despite it not happening during the sleep without it before it Bacon and Irish Breakfast time I think I attract sleep paralysis demons and scenarios like Goku attracts super villians
