ninja'd my sound file edit to my post but more so i moved at a snail's pace ty wait lumi is right. i pressed too many 2's. my mistake tb used to make a smiley face like =[) because on runescape, it made a much bigger smile than =D or :D other fonts don't have it connect properly. also, the runescape font for the letter D was really thin, so this sites =D is sorta accurate to how =[) on runescape looked the reason i use =] or =[ instead of :) or :( is because of runescape also. it was the first time tb saw an emoji, so it's what they used when they were little people would always ask tb how their letter D was so much bigger than theirs. i imagine lumi got similar questions everytime they used Þ ohhh, it takes 100x the energy to 10x the velocity? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i need to look at agility to speed chart and see if it resembles that at any point. though going fast in an atmosphere is a lot more complex. still curious what speeds of various agility levels would look like with that knowledge applied though, but i think it would only apply in a vacuum. and agility level isn't necessarily movement energy, just overall combination of factors that contribute to going fast or slow speaking of that, have seen people say kurzestagt or whatever you spell it is kinda a slop channel when it comes to information. idk if it became one and used to be good, or was never quite that good. i have a nuclear engineer video reacting to one of his videos queued up, so i'll at least see what his criticisms of the video are when i get to it. once again, i can never really know for sure how smart or accurate someone is, but bre did give advice that a channel that doesn't specialize in anything is less reliable than one that does, and the one i like watching is an actual nuclear engineer who specializes in the specific field and likes to react to videos recommended to him that have anything to do with nuclear science, and he discusses it. sometimes finding things hilariously wrong and abhorrent, and sometimes praising. so we'll see his reaction to kurzesgast trying to talk about nuclear science

Ohhhhhhhh! (Just processed this.) That's kinda disappointing that they didn't say "ye old" but interesting. Oh, interesting. 😁 I kinda want to use it now. Oh no, lol. It was great! 😁

Thorn is alt+0222 on the numpad, I used it in ancient runescape 2 days to write =Þ
-
is that a jamaican food restaurant that sounds nice to try

hmmm yeah that's interesting. i always read it with a y sound too. i didn't realize it was supposed to be a thorn. pronouncing it "the old" doesn't sound right, since then it's only the spelling that is different i thought ye olde was like your old, like your old pub or something. according to that translator, you is þu and your is þi, i think? which i think is what would start being spelled like thou and thy, like in the king james' bible. i don't think king james bible has ye in it. just checked, no it doesn't. it says thee and thou and hath and stuff, but just says the for the. which it was written in the 1600s, commissioned for creation of an early modern english bible middle english is like year 1000 and stuff, so far older. idk if there was some weird period where ye was used instead of þe or the yeah. i think some languages still use it, like some nordic or scandinavian languages or something. actually, there are groups of english speakers that like to use it even. have seen people use them in youtube comments, and then will get replies of people saying "oh, a fellow thorn user" or uh, maybe it was þorn user they wrote, idr lol. that looks dubious though xD glad you found the silly middle english funny lol
-
Lol! 😆 Oh, I didn't know that. That's kinda cool. 😄 Is that what it's called?
-
Thorn is a good letter, yeah I guess the y writing (as in "ye olde") was a temporary thing in european printing press when they didn't have the thorn character, or so I read recently, dunno how it caught on so hard but considering the only time anyone says it is in "Ye olde" it's probably just a single memetic reference
-
in the middle ages, i think the weather station probably had temperature scale of "Abide by a fyr other thow shalt freze thyn ers of and be y-take by the lord" "Crist hath blessid us with a temperate day, ye may siten out and joyen a pynte this holyday." "þe fyres of helle beneth brennen hote and souken out þe aire. werk þi feldes in rotaciouns, oþer þu maist no lengre be to bringe breed for þi lady and lynage." glad the interweb has a middle english translator we need to bring back þ as a letter. it makes the th sound crist is also a genius spelling of christ. his name is in fact crist. not christ, like in cheese+rice Chrice but with a t at the end also yeah those translation were 92% confidence in accuracy, so might not be correct but it is fascinating to look at. still readable for the most part

It's 1000 cool
-
yeah lol. it's funny rankine seems easy to convert if you know what absolute 0 is in fahrenheit. just add 459.67 to whatever the temperature in fahrenheit is i suppose all these systems keep saying they were developed in the 1700s. i wonder what people used further back than that. did ancient rome have a temperature measuring system? i never thought about how long ago people may not have had a way to say how hot or cold it is mhmm
-
Of course! 😊 That's pretty cool! 😄
-
You can keep exaggerating higher and higher numbers about how cold it is
-
nice weather for swimming the delisle scale is backwards. 0 is the boiling point of water, and 150 is the freezing point of water. interesting. at least you can use that one. newton chose chaos. 0 for freezing point of water, and then a bunch of random numbers for a bunch of other random somewhat subjective things, making it impossible to actually translate anything into his scale lol
-
It’s a temperate 0.10375 candles in decatur
-
thanks i didn't know there were so many other heat measuring systems. rankine is like fahrenheit version of kelvin also, i think newton should stick to dropping apples and making rainbows from prisms, as this was his heat measuring scale imagine having 3 number options for the temperature of each season 192, the heat at which iron glows as brightly as possible. that's almost 100 medium winter temperatures stacked above the heat lead melts. impressive

nice
-
there are more comfortable temperatures than 60 c it's 536°R right now. really amazing weather for a walk
-
60 c is way too hot

The problematic part of DID is emergence of memory barriers in conditions of severe, continuous trauma. These conditions and their consequences don't apply to most of people practicing tulpamancy purposely and our actual experiences are very different from people suffering from dissociative disorders. When we "switch" with our tulpas, we don't cross memory barriers, we just think under their identity, it isn't even inherently dissociative.
