I was about to call skipping episodes annoying, but I guess after a couple it becomes pretty mindless Have you watched chainsaw man?

well they probably lost viewers at the time, but nowadays it has a really good reputation and you can just skip the mediocre episodes, so it's not so bad

They can try to salvage it but the damage has already been done to future watchers

a lot of shows have weak beginnings, but that doesn't make the beginnings not weak. tng's beginning is especially weak i would say to compare tng to another classic episodic sci fi show based around the crew of a spaceship, "firefly" only had 14 episodes, but in those episodes the cast became so much better fleshed out than the cast of "the next generation" has managed in the 34 episodes i've watched. maybe, eventually, tng will be able to meet or exceed the bar set by firefly, but season 1 doesn't even come close i don't plan on giving up on tng, especially since it's improving, but the only reason why i'm bothering to watch all the episodes is because that's how the person i'm watching it with wants to do it. if i were on my own, there would definitely be some episodes i would skip
