fagmaster9000 August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 Here's a simple technique you can use to ask questions and get reliable and non-vague answers from your sentient, but not yet vocal tulpa. Before going to sleep, ask your tulpa a yes/no question, then ask her to wake you up at a specific time during the night depending on what the answer is. For example, :20 NO :40 YES As you wake up, check the time and receive your answer, then ask her another question and go back to sleep. It's important to use only minutes, rather than specific hours (for example, x:20 rather than 4:20). That way your tulpa has more than one chance to wake you up, if for whatever reason she's unable to do it the first time. Because of this, this should also work even if you have tried to have your tulpa wake you up at a specific time before and failed. You can also introduce more variables than just yes/no, but make sure to keep some space between them. Tulpas are usually off by a few minutes, so keep at least a 10-15 minute interval between the answers to avoid ambiguity. If you are worried that a random awakening during the night might be mistakenly interpreted as an answer from your tulpa, there are several ways to tell a tulpa-induced awakening from a random one: -a tulpa will only wake you up during the REM stage, that is, while you're dreaming. (this is probably why a fixed hour wake up request doesn't always work) The dream will be interrupted and still fresh in your memory after waking up. -at the moment of waking you'll most often hear an alien sound, usually a voice, or more rarely a feeling, such as touch. These are very distinct and different from anything you hear or feel either in dreams or while awake, and I have confirmed that they do indeed come from the tulpa. Encourage your tulpa to make these signals as clear and intense as she can. -while a normal awakening is slow and gradual, and it's easy to drift back into sleep (such as when hitting the snooze button on your alarm), a tulpa will bring you into full wakefulness almost instantly, making it relatively difficult to fall back asleep, even in the middle of the night. Furthermore, you can implement an additional safeguard to prevent any misunderstandings. You can introduce an additional answer, for example at :00, that will reverse the answer to the previous question. Say, you wake up randomly at 3:20 and you interpret this as a 'NO' answer from your tulpa. You ask another question, go back to sleep, and wake up at 4:00. This would indicate that your interpretation for the last answer was, for whatever reason, incorrect, and should have been 'YES' instead. The chance for several such misinterpretations in a row are very small. This technique worked wonderfully for me so far. The best thing about it is that you get solid and reliable answers, unlike the vague and unreliable emotional responses, head pressures and such. So far the success rate is 100% - every question asked gets an answer. The answers make sense, and some were completely unexpected, so I'm almost 100% certain that they're legit. So, next time you go to bed, do try this method. I'm curious how well will this work for other people. Also, share some good questions to ask non-vocal tulpas, and of course the answers you get. By the way, I asked my tulpa whether it's in any way difficult or unpleasant to wake me up so often, and the answer was 'no', so you don't have to worry about that.
QB2 August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 Seems too prone to error. And it also seems like there would be an easier way. But if you think it works for you then I guess it's worth others at least trying. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Purlox August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 Too prone to error. 1) Your internal clock might not be accurate enough for them to be able to wake you up in ±10mins from the set times. 2) It's possible to make your body wake up at certain time without the need of help from tulpa, so you wouldn't be able to know, if you were the one who woke you or if it was your tulpa. You could ask them of course (assuming you 2 are able to communicate already), but that defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
fagmaster9000 August 21, 2012 Author August 21, 2012 >too prone to error So far, five out of six times I was woken up within 2 minutes from the set times, and once within 4 minutes. That seems pretty reliable to me, although I guess it's possible not every tulpa is this accurate. >you wouldn't be able to know, if you were the one who woke you or if it was your tulpa Yes, you can supposedly make yourself wake up at a set time, but: 1. I wasn't ever able to do this before, and 2. you're not actually setting a fixed time to wake up, but rather a set of abstract possibilities. It seems to me that it would require some logical thought which the subconscious would not be capable of. You might be able to wake up by yourself if, for example, you decide something like "I'll wake up in 7 hours from now", but not "I'll wake up at any time when the time on the clock ends in :20 or :40" And, most importantly, you can just tell it's your tulpa because really it's pretty obvious. It's very different from the way you would normally wake up, for the reasons mentioned in the op. In any case, I suggest you just try it yourself. It's not exactly difficult, in fact it requires basically no effort on your part.
Guest August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 I like your username. Nonetheless, this method is already known.
bila bila August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 done it, but I never posted about it. It's not too prone to error for everyone who is saying it. but well done never the less
fagmaster9000 August 21, 2012 Author August 21, 2012 Yeah, I figured I'm not the first one to use this method, although I haven't seen it posted here before. >I like your username. Well, Pleeb should've probably kept guest posting enabled, then you wouldn't have to deal with stupid names like this...
Weird0 August 21, 2012 August 21, 2012 I would try but i guess im so damn tired, not even gods may awake me. Will posts results in 8hrs. 8hrs later: Woke up twice, once at x:47 and x:14. So lets say thats a No and a Yes. ...To a question i cant remember. Well done, me. The fist time i heard a sound but i think it was a open window slamming shut. Maybe next time... They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here. At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.
Kessel September 3, 2012 September 3, 2012 dude, I used your method a few days after I started to get some weird feels, I was half convinced that my tulpa was sentient, however it was very subjective that I was afraid I was fooling myself, I read this thread and gave it a try, I aske my tulpa before going to sleep if she liked her name (Clearence) and told her that 7:00a.m~ was a yes, and 7:30a.m~ was a no. I had a few dreams, I remember them perfectly, it has been a long time since I remember a few dreams so vividly, and JUST in a middle of a dream, like distractig yourself from the theatre, I woke up naturaly. It was 6:50 a.m, I am 100% that nothing else woke me up, there was no light hitting me, the weather was perfect, no noises from outside, and after that, I simply couldin´t sleep. This has been the first time I wake up so... naturaly... damn, I still can´t sleep and school starts in 5 hours haha. Thanks bro for posting this. This helped me realized that she is 100% sentient, all my work has led to this, I´m really happy now :D Its not puppeting, its blood-bending
