Glad to hear it worked for you!

And yeah, the "natural" wakeup is a nice side effect of this. You can avoid most of the usual grogginess in the mornings just by asking your tulpa to wake you up around your usual wake up time.

Also one more thing I forgot to write in the op - make sure to show your tulpa the exact time right before you go to bed, I'm sure it'll make it easier for her to be more accurate.

I've had limited success with this: the first time I didn't wake up, but after that I've always woken up at some time.

Some days I was 2 minutes off an answer time, others, 10. Several times my tulpa changed the answer they gave previously.

It's worth pointing out that that method isn't foolproof anyway: your tulpa wakes you up at the wrong time twice, and the second time they accidentally give an answer instead of changing the previous one.

I still have to thank you, though. Simply asking your tulpa to wake you up at any time in the night should be reasonable evidence of sentience.

I don't understand how this technique could work. Yes, I know that the body is aware of the passage of time, but is it really accurate enough to know, for example, that it's currently half past the hour?

You'd be surprised. On vacations or trips where I had to wake up early to catch a flight, I find that I can often time myself right to an hour. Pretty neat once I figured it out.

Well, I'll try it out myself tonight. Would be nice to finally get some answers from my tulpa.

EDIT: I didn't even manage to wake up. This technique may not work for heavy sleepers. Then again, I went to bed very late.

Interesting concept.

I don't think I'll be using this, but I certainly do plan on testing how good she is at waking me up and how accurately she can keep the time.

A tulpa alarm clock would certainly be a more pleasant way to wake up than my phone alarm that I currently use.
