GrimnirTheTviblindi June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 I know that everybody's experience varies, but I wonder how many have had agonizing pain while forcing? I ask this because, after only 4 days of forcing at least 1 hour everyday, I am experiencing terrible pains in my temples. They seem to intensify as I force. If anybody can share their experiences or maybe give some advice, I'd appreciate it.
Guest Anonymous June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 Indeed headaches are almost a given with tulpaforcing. Although it can get distracting, it's a good indicator you're doing it right. Best advice I can give is to drink a metric shit-ton of water.

Charlotte June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 Well you are supposed to get headaches but I don't know about extreme pain. You may or may not want to get that checked out. This hot empty painting should be locked and towed.

If nothing else works, I will get it checked out. Hopefully it's just my puny brain leveling up so I can properly tulpaforce.
newdarkage June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 Welcome to tulpaforcing on hard mode, enjoy training your figurative "third eye" like a muscle that's never been used before, I know I do. As for me, I only get headaches whenever I'm stagnating somewhere in the creation process and I'm about to break through a plateau. I was forcing for two hours yesterday before having to abort, because I got an unbelievable headache in my prefrontal lobe that lasted for twelve hours (I already have cluster headaches all day long, cut me a fucking break, brain). The payoff was that now, I can pretty much perfectly visualize my tulpa in a matter of milliseconds without any prior meditation, whereas shit was changing left and right prior to this, even in a state of deep concentration. So yeah, look forward to the headaches, they seem to indicate that you're doing something right. Probably.
Flower June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 The thing for me is that my headaches are next to nothing and doesn't always come and when they do, I can just drop focus for a couple of seconds and it will pour away like water. What makes me worried is if this does indicate that I'm doing wrong or that my third eye is in a good shape since I've practivally lived mostly in my mind through my entire life. I must have ended up on the wrong planet. Everything here is so strange.
newdarkage June 7, 2012 June 7, 2012 It's most likely the latter. Most people on here who have years of visualization experience reported similar things. I believe it's kind of like muscle soreness, it pretty much disappears after enough training, and to begin with, its absence doesn't mean that you're making no progress whatsoever. If it's there, it's simply to indicate that you're doing /something/.
