Elusive January 13, 2014 January 13, 2014 I am brand new to the world of Tulpas, but for a few years now I have been practicing Shamanism. To put it simply, you enter a meditative state where your spirit journeys to hidden worlds. The Lower World is the realm of emotion and base instinct, this is where you will find your totem animal. The middle world can be seen as a spiritual parallel of our own world while the Upper World is the realm of higher knowledge and insight, a bird's eye view of reality. There is much more that I have glossed over, but those are the basics. I can see many parallels between Shamanic Journeys and connecting with your Tulpa in the Wonderland. I was wondering if anyone else has used Shamanism to connect with their tulpas, or have explored this. In the future I am planning on taking my tulpa companion with me into my journeys, or perhaps even just connecting with her in these realms to learn more of her.
Quilten January 13, 2014 January 13, 2014 This is very interesting. I suppose you could say that I have practiced similar forms of meditation for similar purposes, and I think that all of this is great way to not only straight up force, but to connect with your tulpa(e) on a deeper level. A decent bit of the community practices meditation, at least referring to forcing, most do, and I think that this would be a great idea to intertwine with a normal session. Elusive January 13, 2014 Author January 13, 2014 Thanks! I will be try to share my experiences as I have the,. I did my first close-eyed visualization exercise last night and felt many similarities to the shamanic journey.
Enoch327 January 14, 2014 January 14, 2014 As a dabbler in shamanism (I study everything), I look forward to your reports. I wonder if there is a difference between totem animals and servitors. I mean on some level to call something is also to create it. I must reflect on this. Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell

I mean on some level to call something is also to create it. I must reflect on this. I will have to contemplate that. For my experiences so far, I feel a totem animal is kind of closer to a tulpa, some thoughts may be created but they might also have spontaneous wisdom they give you. Then again my knowledge on them and Servitors isn't huge yet. Servitors also remind me a lot of some upper world angel-like spirits I heard of. Ones that can also help you find what you are missing. I think the first thing I will do on my first journey is to introduce my tulpa to my main power animal, as well as my constructed lower world.
Enoch327 January 16, 2014 January 16, 2014 Supposedly, angels are God's servitors-tulpas. And I guess humans are too. It is neat to wonder about the nature of reality, is it not? Enoch, Chancellor of Mars. "Follow your bliss."-Joseph Campbell
