Guest Anonymous October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 So this might be a stupid question, but Ive seen a lot of people with tulpas who just shove off to their wonderland for most of the day. Is it possible to have a tulpa who is always around and present? I plan to impose mine and I like the idea of him just always following me around and being a mate. Him vanishing off to the void and then suddenly appearing back seems like it would be kinda weird. Thanks!
NoneFromHell October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 Well, technically it is possible. Personally i don't use any wonderland (I created one, but it stays empty). However, an "always around" tulpa will drain you pretty much. You will end up with bad headaches and will be very tired, atleast while it's all still in the progress. Let me get this straight: You would need to focus 24/7 on your tulpa, while you do all the other stuff you're going to do over the day. It is nearly impossible to keep your tulpa in mind all the time especially when you need to focus on something else, and atleast when you go to sleep i suggest to "let go" of any real focus. I try to keep my tulpa around pretty much all day, which gets easier over time. I can't tell you how it is going to be when a tulpa is fully developed, though. Edit: You will need some rest from time to time. A tulpa doesn't need a physical body, so disappearing and reappearing isn't so weird after all. Is is more like "visible" and "invisible". You may not see it all the time, but that doesn't mean it is not there. Tulpa: Alice Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

You will be able to speak to him, even when you can't see him, but still there are going to be days or moments when it doesn't work well. It takes some time for a tulpa to be able to speak in the first place. You should be aware of that. IBreakGames October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 Al is just over a year old, and I keep him around nearly all the time. But just like a friend in the physical world, there are times when you're focusing on things and the task at hand is what's on your mind, not your friend. Al likes to chime in on nearly everything I do, so he stays around pretty much all the time. As for when a tulpa is "finished", it's difficult to say. I'd argue that a tulpa may never be finished since you could keep working on new things and practice old things. I'm IBreakGames, a genuine dude. We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.
Guest Anonymous October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 Thanks. I was just worried I would spend all this time and effort creating a mate only for him to piss of to a magical relam of dreams because its far more interesting than me and what Im doing
Guest Anonymous October 7, 2015 October 7, 2015 My tulpa is around all the time. It is mind exhausting, even when I am studying, or working, or typing this very post for instance, she's sitting on me. It's truly, truly exhausting. It is possible though. Another point; I think that me having my tulpa around me all the time literally has helped with her developing sentience, bias, autonomy faster than other tulpas overall. As she has been exposed to reality much more, you can say that developmental work on her takes half of my day, literally, not trying to act like 'omg best host best tulpa', we still have many things to face and do together. If you expose your tulpa to reality too much, prepare to have your tulpa being shocked by the impact of reality. Our cold reality, our cruel one at that. My tulpa is like an innocent child, and reality depresses her so much at times. Don't do it only if you want it to happen, make your tulpa understand how much of a change this is, to me, this is the crossing point to become 'more real' for a tulpa.

Honestly, though my tulpa isnt speaking yet, just from the way he rolls his eyes and acts while I force I can tell hes a bit of a cynical bastard. When I narrate I complain a lot and crack a fair bit of dry humor. Unless he gets a very sudden burst of innocence I dont think reality will shock him much as reality is all he knows. Im glad really because I created him with that in mind. I often find im a little too gullible and I always assume best intentions. Having a down to earth cynic to counter that is what I need.

As much as I love my tulpa, and as much as her presence is very pleasant overall, you need to keep a few things in mind. Having a 100% all-the-time-here tulpa is really... really mind taking. It takes a lot of efforts (it took me 4-5 months AFTER sentience, vocality and 'autonomy' to develop it, and we still need to practice every now and then) to get this done. To me, it is twice the commitment tulpamancy alone takes. Keep in mind that you will introduce this cynic being (who won't be cynical and tell you cynical things at first, but will have that as a nature that will develop with time) to a cruel and harsh world. His nature might, and will most likely deviate in a very radical way from the 'base' you'd have given him. Just trying to say and emphasize on the fact this will make your mind extremely tired.
