So Ive been forcing for about while now and Ive always had the same form since I started which was an orange male lizard thing.

But since a few days ago, every time I force I cant help but picture Isabelle from Animal Crossing.

Now, I dont mind if he wants to be a girl or a dog, whatevers cool with me. My only worry is that this ISNT him and Im just losing focus and thinking about animal crossing. I fear that if I continue using the Isabelle that I will either set him back a ways because this requires all new sense forcing (touch, smell, taste, ect ect) or Ill accidently create a new Isabelle tulpa and accidentally abandon him.

So far my plan has been to take the orange lizard form and put it into the Isabelle form to make sure my brain connects them both as the same person before each session.

Im intrested to hear anyones thoughts.

Does it matter? A tulpa is the construct of your mind, essentially. You are working on a concept. A concept that is not defined by 'form' or appearance, but defined by a mere thought that is launched off from, well, the concept of sentience, autonomy, those things are what essentially form a tulpa. I found that beneath what my tulpa really looks like, she's this mass of sentience and thoughts, as she put it herself, and witnessed it myself. My point is that you do not need to worry about it not being 'him', 'them', your tulpa.

You can also look at some factors; Do you like Animal Crossing, do you think of animal crossing often, is there anything emotionally marking that comes from Animal Crossing? Anyway, the golden rule is that 'If it doesn't come from your active thought process, it's a good sign.' A lot of people would attribute this deviation to Isabelle from Animal Crossing to, well, a sign of a tulpa's sentience. I think that a lot about tulpamancy is delusion until you reach a higher standard, but you could very much regard this as a good sign, my friend.

Also, you should focus on sentience and vocality before even thinking of touch and smell and taste. Except if we're speaking of how your tulpa will sense things, which is something that really just comes along.

With my sympathy.

Ill just keep going with the Isabelle form then. Its always been a design I liked mainly just for being cute. My main concern was that I would accidently create a second tulpa but I think Ive done my best to limit that.

Why sympathy?

Considering one tulpa is a lot of work, I would be amazed to hear about someone making two tulpas just like that outside of the 'tumblr thing' of which you spoke of in previous threads.

My sympathy because you seem to be taking this seriously, at least, a bit more seriously than the average joe I speak to every now and then concerning tulpamancing. Actual concerns, actual solutions are what you respectively present and seek. Also my way of expressing respect as a due.

I dont mean creating two full tulpas, I mean starting a new one in the Isabelle form accidently and leaving the original bloke to wallow and die in the back of my mind.

And tulpas are serious business. You are trying to create a companion for life inside the extremely volatile space which is your mind. If you dont take that seriously then its liable to have complications in the future.

Its honestly hard who to believe with this stuff because so much is hard to actively prove. All you can do is give people the benefit of the doubt and use your own good judgement

Also thanks.

Ah.

I agree with everything you've said.

Best of luck in your endeavors.

I pretty much started off with three. Reisen came first, but Flandre and Tewi showed up before Reisen became vocal. They became vocal before she became vocal, even. As someone who struggles to find the motivation to do anything, and who did not feel love or loved until my tulpas came along, it's been quite a ride.

As for constantly thinking of another form, at this point it doesn't really matter why it started because now it's attached to thoughts of your tulpa. You either have to ignore it completely and give it no credit, or accept it. If you're going to change your tulpa's form, make sure doing so actually feels right, which is the best you can do before your tulpa is sentient/vocal. Is the thought of Isabelle (nice character by the way) just a thought of Isabelle, or does she actually seem like your tulpa? Does your tulpa still feel like your tulpa when you think of her? And above all, would you be comfortable with the form change?

I can't really tell you anything helpful because I don't know your actual experience. You can change your tulpa's form if you want to, but I don't know if you're literally just having an invasive thought that's now attached to forcing, or if you actually want an Isabelle tulpa.

I wouldn't recommend two though. For a more experienced tulpamancer that would be the way to go, but two this early usually means a lot more work or one of them getting too little attention, if not both.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Just a quick update:

He has switched back to his original form, so Im pretty sure this whole thing was either an experiment on his front or me just thinking about playing more Animal Crossing. Ill have to see how things play out in the future but Im going to take this as a response and keep going strong with the original form.

I just hope he gives me some better indication of what he wants next time because the whole thing has been very confusing.

That's good that you resolved your issue, although I'm a bit disappointed just because an Isabelle tulpa would have been super adorable.

I'd steal your idea, but Lyra has informed me that she'll do awful, awful things to me if I try to form swap her again.

I wanna see movies of my dreams.

Ill just have to wait and see. I think maybe my indecisiveness about form might be rubbing off on him slightly. It took me a long time to settle on the lizard and now this latest incident is making me have doubts about that. Im not a person who is confident in his choices.

Im thinking of sitting down, going through a bunch of forms I know I like to look at with him and see if I can get any kind of response so we can be sure what we both want before I go any further with forcing one form or another.
