Personality vs Narration

Sup guis, it's that one fag who kinda floated around back in May then disappeared for two months and is now back and nobody remembers

 

Anyway

 

It seems lately there has been a shift of philosophy round these parts that puts more emphasis on narration and less on traditional personality tulpaforcing. Which would you say is more important towards getting your tulpa fully sentient and vocal? Which have you sunk more time into?

 

also bonus question: dafuq happened to Irish, Jake & Vinyl and tulpatalk? as mentioned prior, I've kinda been away for a couple months and don't feel like lurking around for the answers

I think time should be spent on personality until you're comfortable with the 'feel' of the tulpa, like you know it inside out. Whether thats 50 hours or 50 minutes is up to the person and situation in my opinion.

 

Narration is hella important. Thats about it, narrate your ass off until your tulpa is smacking you over the head like "STFU".

narration seems to be the key to faster sentience, personality being still important in solidifying the tulpa. Personality is needed so you can get to know your tulpa through and through, but sentience can be achieved as you start treating the tulpa as a sentient being.

Yup, I totally agree.

 

I've spent 2 days working on personality and for me it was ok with that. I think that the important thing about this it's not how much time do spend on the personality, but how secure you are inside your head about the personality you created.

 

For example, when I created my Tulpa, one of the main personality traits that I wanted was "Honest". And with that I can understand perfectly what I want inside my head, with all the explanations, implications, etc. It's subjective.

 

But for others, they'll need to add much more traits to have a perfect image on their heads, like "Trustworthy", "Honorable", "Sincere", "Frank", "Straightforward", plus "Honest".

 

And in the two cases it means the same thing to the person. For me the important part is to be secure.

 

Quality over quantity maybe?

 

So, once you got the personality: Narration non-stop until the Tulpa shows sentience and tells you to shut up! Yay! :D

 

(And personality is a must, without personality, you can't expect sentience. It's kinda the starting point for everything. At least for me. How you do it though, that's up to you.)
