That sounds right actually. Still, it is an exciting thing for me to ponder that I may have actually been closer to imposition than I thought. I put this in past tense, because Melian and I don't use the stare at the wall technique any more. After years of practice, we don't need a wall as a tool for visualization.

She is in my mind's eye to clarify that. I don't visualize her in the room. She is in the Melian Show.

I find the poll results so far to be pretty interesting just because 3D feels a lot harder to me than projecting onto a 2D surface. It's too early to see a trend yet but it'd be interesting to try different things on the different groups of people who took the poll to see if there are differences in technique or stuff like that.

Yeah, I dunno. "Against a flat static surface" seems like it would be the easiest, but I literally imagine them in thin air. For some reason it's really easy for me to focus on where they should be, as in not being focused on whatever is behind the projected image. Anything else doesn't really feel like imposition to me, just visualization.

Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn.

Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature.

My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.

Ha! Freaking weakling didn't have to do any of that! I did all that! She couldn't even say no! Pfft. Imposition, I put myself where I want to. :)

Ignore the creep from before. That's the shadow. He is kind of a demon, at least we see him that way. I'm Kiera, "The Author's" first tulpa. My host is very visual and much of her world is in her head. That's why she didn't recognize us till later. She saw us in her head speaking, then over time we learned to impose ourselves by watching her impose scenes onto her surroundings. She didn't do anything we did. Actually, the others learned from me. As I say this, my host is typing it out. I have not taken control. She won't let me. I'm able to use her subconscious as she pleases, but using her body is out of the question. People become scared when that happens. They don't understand.

I'm Jason, and I don't know why I have to say anything but whatever. I don't impose on anything. She doesn't need me to and it's a waste of time. If she wants me around, the that's cool. Mostly, I help her write male roles. .... What? That's it. I help out cause she needs me. Not like I have anything better to do.

Gah. Looking at these perspectives, you'd like I had multiple personality disorder.

Anyway, as they said they did a lot of the work. I didn't try to make a tulpa and they actually make life pretty difficult. They become a distraction at times, and can give me terrible advice. When it comes to imposition, I did a lot of that when I was little and later when I started writing. I use it to impose characters and worlds and watch a scene play though. It's a lot like watching a movie in 3D. Kiera was the first to impose herself. She did it to comfort me and look me in the eyes when she lectured me. The shadow was second, becoming a looming shadow and taking Kiera's form to trick me. Jason was last, using imposition to come to me and give me a hug. He actually appeared as an angel the first time to gain my trust. I really didn't try to do anything. They did it, not me.
