KarlYoshimura August 6, 2016 August 6, 2016 Does anyone happen to have experience receiving treatment via E.C.T. while being a host? According to MEDLINEPLUS DOT GOV (https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/007474.htm), under "Risks", there is a caveat regarding memory-loss. Temporary lapse in recollection is an associated side-effect, and the article states that permanent loss of memory isn't as common as it used to be. None-the-less, could there be any serious ramifications if a host were to be treated in such a way? I understand there are key differences between the concept of memory and tulpas, yet my concern stems from the fact that both tulpas and hosts rely upon memories as a reference for who they are and where they are currently at in relation to how and far-along they've been alive, much like anyone else. Moreover, I'm mildly perturbed to think what a seizure-inducing current would be like to a tulpa, that is, if said tulpa isn't also unconscious after the administration of anaesthesia. This life of games and diligent trust, it's the things we do and the things we must. I'm now tired of being cussed, so go sleep forever, end to dust. -Crystal Castles, VANISHED
glitchthe3rd August 7, 2016 August 7, 2016 ECT isn't really used anymore except to treat severe depression. However, they're starting to find more uses for transcranial magnetic stimulation, including curing autism, and that got me thinking about whether I would lose my tulpas from having such a procedure done (since they more or less scramble your brain in a few spots and hope that it fixes what's wrong with you).
