cruse July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 Decided to do extra work of my tulpa's traits Nows there's more than 100 and I can't just simply recall all of em. Is it still possible to tulpa force effectively while reading the notes of traits on my iPhone? Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 Whenever you meet someone you have a general feel of them and unspoken understanding. Try to create that, you're making a person not a computer. You start with the basics just how your tulpa stand and acts, this will encompass a wealth of traits already that you won't even have to focus on because you are already focused on interacting with that actual person, then simply give it situations where certain traits appear for a short time like if they like or dislike something. For example my assistant is a huge fan of Steam Powered Giraffe so when she hears them she goes fan-crazy and lipsyncs or sings along while dancing and acting. But normally she's not that extroverted. It's easier to remember a group of traits by connecting them to a state of mind he/she/it is in. You may not remember by name but the combination of it all is visible nonetheless. Name: Assistant Form: Human female Progress Report Last night I said I didn't have a name for her and was cut off with a reply. I couldn't hear the beginning properly but it sounded like Dori but I couldn't hear the first letter as clear and can't tell whether it was an N or a D What's her name?
cruse July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Well, those hundreds of traits are quite general anyway so I would probably expand on it as I go so i doubt it'd be computer like. Problem is, my memory is just horrible and sometimes I just forget certain group of traits altogether. Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Romm July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 You don't need hundreds of traits, you just need to know how your tulpa going to act on daily basis. Just pick a few for core personality and elaborate them as you feel like.
DoctorSprocket July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 What I'm actually saying is that you don't have to think about traits, if you know how your tulpa will react. If you know exactly how they move without having to name traits, then you don't have to remember the names. It's the feeling of the character. When you describe a friend you use maybe 10-15 words at most that can describe them but you always feel like you didn't quite describe them properly. Yet if they act only slightly different you'd notice. These things are not said they are seen and experienced. Focus less on words and more on the character as a whole, think of it as already completed. cruse July 29, 2012 Author July 29, 2012 Right I'll try. Thanks Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail. Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR. Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.
ThatOneGuy July 29, 2012 July 29, 2012 Yes, you can use notes. You know, this is one of the reasons I advocate lower amounts of traits. 100 is just excessive to me. Orange juice helps with concentration headaches.
