tulpa001 October 6, 2016 October 6, 2016 If it did work, it would be placebo anyway. You could get the same thing from sugar pills. Which, yeah, power of symbolism and all that. That can be very effective on anything inside the mind. But the thing about exhaustion, is exhaustion is not imaginary. Even if the exhaustion being felt is by the tulpa. Under your model, what is happening is the brain is feeling exhaustion, and compartmentalising it into the tulpa. A placebo will work here about as well as placeboing yourself out of exhaustion after an all nighter. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
CM October 6, 2016 Author October 6, 2016 It sounds to me like he might be experiencing emotional exhaustion, and possibly sliding into depression. The same things that work for that kind of thing on humans help tulpas too. Such as: -- Having an actual dream. If possible have him possess or switch, then go to sleep. -- Counseling and comforting. In addition, tulpas and hosts feel the wear of other systemmates on the brain when they are active. So, if you all relax, and maybe take some naps, he should bounce back faster, since that reduces your burnout level. I think you may be right. Emotional exhaustion slight depression do seem like the most valid reasons at the moment. I have 4 tulpas in my head, some more active than others, and he seems to be the only one with the sleeping and tiredness issue. Yesterday they all lay in a pile on top of each other and he fell asleep while everyone else was wide awake and active. Earlier today he fell asleep in a bath tub and L worried he might hurt himself. It does seem like we're going to have a long talk tonight. Maybe try the possession sleeping thing as well. Still, there is no harm in trying the virtual coffee.

TJbr96kalinin October 13, 2016 October 13, 2016 Can you please describe how he sleeps. Did he just fall asleep in your bathtub in your house in real life? So he just lies there. What happens if you touch him? Not sure if my tulpa sleeps, sometimes I don't see her, sometimes she appears and we talk or smth. How does this work?
CM October 13, 2016 Author October 13, 2016 Can you please describe how he sleeps. Did he just fall asleep in your bathtub in your house in real life? So he just lies there. What happens if you touch him? Not sure if my tulpa sleeps, sometimes I don't see her, sometimes she appears and we talk or smth. How does this work? Desmond and my other tulpas spend most of their time in the wonderland , which they consider their home. That's where he usually falls asleep though he's feeling a lot better now and not randomly dozing off anymore. It was in a bath tub over there that he fell asleep in and I heard about it from L later. As to how he sleeps, to me it just looks like any other person's sleep, he lies in one place, eyes closed and breathing calmly, being relatively unresponsive. He doesn't usually react to just touching much but if I would shake him by his shoulder for example, he would wake up. About the not seeing your tulpa thing, my tulpas L and Misa often wander outside of the area in wonderland that I usually look or go into where Desmond always stays at. Those times they don't hear me calling them and appear to have disappeared, though I can still easily teleport to their location if I want to (which I don't, tbh, I don't like teleporting around...). I think it's quite normal to not always see your tulpa around.
