Hidari October 17, 2016 Author October 17, 2016 I'm confused, the only information I can find on risperdal causing death is in people around the age of 60 with dementia or schizophrenia. Most of the information I found said it was really rare in people under the age of 60. I'm really confused on what the serious long term side effects are, as I can't find anyreliable information on it. So, since I'm only 17 and don't have schizophrenia, I don't see what the risk is.
War October 17, 2016 October 17, 2016 Most psychological medications can have permanent effects on a person during their developmental phases. I heard this one story of a person who got a permanent neck twitch from getting the wrong medication. for reisperidone, I'm seeing tardive dyskinesia as a possible permanent effect (heh, permanent neck twitch. There you go.).
ricinsbluebox October 17, 2016 October 17, 2016 Hidari: Risperidal probably has other uses outside of an Anti-psychotic. Abiilfy is also used as a mood stabilizer as well as anti-depressant, for example. Since everyone is different, medications can be switched and replace others for various uses. War is right though. People can get a wide variety of problems from different meds. Tardive Dyskinesia is a pretty common one people can get. War: Thanks for the information! I forgot the name of the disorder a person can get but you mentioned it exactly. "And here's another curse - may all your bacon BURN," - Calcifer; Howl's Moving Castle
