Introduction

After a lot of deliberation and lurking on various sites, I have decided to make a tulpa. Actually, I decided two days ago, and for the past two days I've been working consistently on forcing his initial form until I can easily recall it. (Right now, West looks like a very thin humanoid male with blond hair, oversized round glasses, and glowing blue eyes. His name might change at some point, right now all I know is that it starts with a W. I look like a high school senior with freckles.)

Today, though, is when I'll be starting narration, now that I have a face to narrate at instead of just a nebulous concept. It coincides nicely with Thanksgiving break, too, although I didn't actually plan that. Over break I plan to start rewatching Young Justice from the beginning on Netflix with him and narrating about it, and hopefully by the time we reach the end he'll be able to discuss it with me too! Today once I get my big exams done I'll be hanging out at home, plenty of time to talk about things and do some final forcing on the details of his form.

How's it going? And good luck to you guys!

Hi guys, plain text is just me now! We've each got our own accounts: me, Tewi, Flandre, and Lucilyn. We're Luminesce's tulpas.

Here's our "Ask Thread", and here's our Progress Report (You should be able to see all of our accounts on the second page if you want)

Thank you! I haven't detected much change so far, but I've been spending the past few days doing a lot of passive narration and some exercises for personality forcing and encouraging vocalization that I picked up from the guides forums. I think W made a few noises on Saturday, although I'm not completely sure. I'll post an official update to progress in a few days~

I've been continuing to force, including spending a good few hours on forcing while travelling across the country by plane yesterday. I do some parroting to get W's voice and personality more solid, so I'm not entirely sure how conscious he is yet, but I think we're making some progress.

During the past week or so I've especially been talking to him about my NaNoWriMo novel, which I finished a few days ago, and I think talking out my problems really helped me get inspired and be able to actually hit my word count goal. He didn't make any suggestions, but since I'm starting to do revisions next month he'll hopefully be vocal enough by then to have some input and opinions on the work. :)

Does anyone have recommended exercises for encouraging vocalization?

Yeah, I've talked about that before. I don't know if any of them are good, but...

* If you don't already, whenever you read stuff, read it in a character's voice. For example, give each poster their own personal voice on this forum.

* Alternate between periods of narrating to your tulpa and just thinking about your tulpa. Them speaking out is more likely with variety of approach.

* Be mindful of your tulpa and keep them in your awareness, and look at them. And most importantly, think up new ways to do this. Eventually, you will think about your tulpa in just the right way, and bam! rapid progress.

* Relax a lot. Seems to help. Meditate and hypnosis are great if you can't just relax normally. To the tulpa, do the opposite of relax at the same time. Get excited.
