Fenrir August 2, 2012 August 2, 2012 I've copied this from a pm after instructions from Pleeb maybe others are having the same problem, if so this may be useful Kk on with the post Ive managed a few times to get a state of visualisation however it's defiantly lucid dreaming ....it's just so easy in that state lol ATM I can not visualise at all without being in that state so creating an image in my minds eye is the issue, done martial arts for 16 years so no issues with concentration I'm not sure if this makes sense but if I was told to imagine Something I could tell you the entire route from where I am to another location or what a place looks like etc. to the details of what order the knives are in the knife block....but I can't see it, it's a matter of just knowing....I don't know if due to the martial arts that means I'm more doing (touch) oriented and so know what it is without seeing it? I was trying to use a wonderland (a place that I took the dog for a walk for years and went a lot as a child) its a field with a pond, 1 big tree and long flowing golden grass the height of your knee surrounded by hedgerows of blackberries and blueberries (I could navigate this place with my eyes closed walking backwards). However I know it's there and can imagine myself walking through it. But knowing is all I can get... No sensations sounds or visual Any advice, it's difficult to practice when you have nothing to work with so if you have any advice or way I could even get the slightest visual image then at least I would have something to work with?
justanotherguest August 2, 2012 August 2, 2012 Fenrir, is there supposed to be second post? Your first sentence leaves impression that you forgot to post second half of the message.
Malix August 2, 2012 August 2, 2012 As far as I can tell(I might be a newbie but I spend half my time just reading these boards), visualisation has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with your eyes or normal field of vision, nor are you likely to hear anything with your ears(at first); Sight, you see above your normal FoV, "in your mind's eye", and the vividity of it will be different for everyone(though you'll get better with practice). And sounds...well, I have no idea about wonderlands, but your tulpa's first words will just feel like thoughts. Tulpa: Name: Elyse (Elly) Birthday: 29th May, 2012 Physical description: 5"8 thin human girl. self-identified age 18. ~1ft, vivid red hair sometimes in a ponytail. light-skinned. green eyes. Progress: entirely vocal, speaks often, but only 1 hallucination; her saying "Hiiii". Great at possession.
Chupi August 2, 2012 August 2, 2012 I can imagine some sounds, and am getting better at it. They aren't hallucinated and are quite clearly not real, but if I clap my hands together in my wonderland, I do "hear" something. Same deal with touch. For sight, I usually get anywhere from just knowing where stuff is, how it looks, etc.; to "seeing" something in my mind's eye. The latter feels very clearly separate from real sight and is nowhere near as vivid. Lyra: human female, ~17 Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her My blog :: Time expectations are bad (forcing time targets are good though)
