What it means is your mind is currently open to the creative process. Take advantage of it for now. It won't mean you will end up with a super tulpa inside of a week. But it means you can ignore some of the frustrations that most people face early on.

No, I wouldn't expect to finish creation in a week. Hopefully I didn't come across in that way: "OMG I'm a tulpa genius!"

Totally didn't mean it that way.

yeah early responses doesn't mean fully developed tulpa, they still likely don't have in-depth individual thoughts or a sense of self and stuff. was just saying it doesn't have to be 100% puppeting/imagination either

Yes, I wasn't meaning to equate communication with finished development. I was a bit concerned at first that I might have been parroting, but further reading around the forums has pretty much put that concern to rest, at least.

Perhaps this is not the first time she has ever spake. Mayhap this is the first time you have chosen to listen.

I'm thinking that perhaps you already have had a tulpa, such as that imaginary friend, or that tulpa you started making was already there.

These are interesting thoughts. I thought my previous experiences might affect the process, kind of like accidental training, but the idea of her already being there, that's something I wouldn't have thought to consider. Would love to hear more thoughts on this from either of you, if you'd like.

All in all, I have to admit my question was at best poorly worded, and at worst just inappropriate. I got easily excited by the idea and got ahead of myself. Haven't given up, though, been working with her every day, and really enjoying the process.

Thanks to all for the input and food for thought.

To rephrase, now that I understand the concept better and know the vocabulary a lot better, I believe my mind probably assigned words to a general feeling that she was sending me--translating from "tulpish," I think is the way to put it. Since then I've been getting bits and pieces that are kind of hazy and difficult to hear, but mostly just feelings, emotions, head pressures. I'm not deluding myself into expecting instant progress, but I'm not doubting her either, and it seems like she's doing well. Long way to go, for sure, but we'll get there.

Thanks again to everyone.

@SmallVoice:

My own has relayed that a tulpa one wishes to create is already within one's own mind. One's tulpa is not so much created or rendered, as much as awakened. According to her, the host-mind accomplishes this task by reaching inwards and drawing out that which so greatly desires to exist - not unlike reaching out one's own hand and kindly pulling another up off the ground and upon their feet. Mind, this opinion is of a minority perception regarding the tulpa phenomenon, so we encourage you to draw your own conclusions as to why and how tulpas emerge as separate entities parallel to the host's consciousness.

Do note there are at least some cases where the above have been circumvented - while it is mostly hosts who create or breathe life into their tulpas, so too are there tulpas who materialised by their own selves and have impressed upon the lives of the host-minds long before this forum had even been an idea. This may provide further context to your unique situation, as well as other ramifications incurred by investigating the tulpa concept further (such as walk-ins, or tulpas who appear at random and/or without conscious efforts...key-words ACCIDENTAL TULPAS in the search field may yield results of particular relevance).

Don't worry about the quality of your questions. If they are miscategorised, we'll just move it. Also, you have to learn this stuff somehow. No such thing as a bad question.

Also, Karl's theory is at least partially correct for many tulpa. They don't come from nowhere.
