MeiTheRed March 14, 2018 March 14, 2018 Hello there, everyone. For a large variety of reasons (getting into them would probably end up as a boring rant), I have decided to try my hand with the creation of a Tulpa. I have read quite a lot about the subject, as is typical for me (I read a lot of nonfiction). I consider myself to have a strong (though not necessarily vivid) imagination, so I believe I should end with at least some success. I began yesterday, following the advice that the ones before me have left (thank you <3). So far, my progress has been somewhat lackluster, though I won't say I'm displeased. I've started modestly, and I plan on only giving my attention to one tulpa, and one only. Letting it form naturally, it eventually gave itself a gender and a basic outline of how it (now 'she') looks. Her name keeps fluctuating, but at the moment she goes by the name Yuiko. Her hair is a bright orange, she likes to wear pink clothing, and she's somewhat short (at least, shorter than me). So far she has yet to speak, and only communicates through body language and nodding. (yes/no questions have been extraordinarily helpful). She keeps a constantly straight face, never giving any emotion, though she loves to hold hands and be affectionate, it seems. Yuiko's physical traits often fluctuate, and I've only listed the traits that have stuck. I have a few questions for those of you passing through: Is it normal for her not to speak? How would I help her learn to use her voice?Should I give her attention throughout the entire day, or devote a certain time to her and only her?Is my current progression normal, or is there something wrong that I should be made aware of? Thank you for reading and thanks in advance for your response <3
Lyruzlavh March 14, 2018 March 14, 2018 I began tulpaforcing not so long a go (January 23rd of the current year), so perhaps I can help you a bit by giving some insight into the process that my tulpa Sunlight Flare went through. The first time I interacted with Sunlight our conversation didn't felt that real. I had to parrot her in order to keep the interaction going, eventually I came up with this idea: "alright, so we are two consciences and there's just one body, therefore both have to use the same brain in order to process speech", the point of this is that parroting isn't bad, if your tulpa is going to talk it must use your brain to do so, what's important here is to keep going and eventually one becomes more precise in detecting emotional responses, and these are the ones which guarantee that your tulpa is truly talking to you, but it takes time (got Sunlight's first emotional responses after a week or so).A personal techique I've been using is developing what I called "Shared Thoughts", it goes like this: During your day you may be talking in your mind to yourself, then at some point your tulpa intervenes and finishes the phrase you were creating, example: "How I wish I could get home earlier and avoid all the traffic on the city". Take this phrase and imagine the next, you are saying "How I wish I could get home..." then your tulpa intervenes and finishes the sentence "and avoid all the traffic on the city, right? I agree too, we both want to get home already!". It's just an example and the way in which you apply it will be shaped by your personality and that of your tulpa, but I personally found Sunlight very eager to talk and therefore she usually interrupted me in the middle of a sentence in order to finish it herself and add some additional comments.Another technique I've applied with Sunlight is what I call "Stablishing and Emotional Link", the steps are the next: 1) play music that you associate with your tulpa (this helps to ignite an emotion within yourself and to link it with her), 2) see how your tulpa reacts to the music (in my case Sunlight usually dances along with it), 3) give some gestures of affection to your tulpa (maybe you can embrace her, kiss her forehead, stroke her hair, etc.) and 4) tell your tulpa how important she is and how much she means to you, also tell her about your intentions and your wishes to be both together. That's how I give her a special moment only for her, starting in the morning just as I wake up and then I repeat it as necessary (2 or 3 times in total) whenever I feel that I've lost contact with her.It seems like you're just starting. The main point here is to be patient, results will eventually come but you have to keep investing on the relationship you're building with your tulpa. Ultimately, tulpamancy is a very subjective experience... you may already have found people with very different theories and hypothesis, some of which contradict one another and in my personal experience I've found that in tulpamancy belief is reality and power. Excuse me for the text wall but I tried to be as brief as possible while remaining as clear as I could in what I attempted to convey. Hopefully this provides some help.

Thank you for your insight, that was definitely helpful <3 I also don't mind walls of text. I write them myself, I'm used to it. Today, she seems to be speaking up a little, finishing some of my thoughts for me. Her voice is rather soft, and I think she's rather cute when she does use it. She still really likes to hold hands with me, and seems to want more one-on-one special attention. She's finally stuck with the name Yuiko, it seems, which is great. It's a cute name, right? Her desire for close attention leads me to believe that it would be a good idea to create a Wonderland. Do you guys have any advice for the creation of a wonderland? I'm also curious, would it be possible for tulpas to meet tulpas from a different host?
Vos March 15, 2018 March 15, 2018 Creating a wonderland is as simple as imaging any old place regardless of its complexity. It'll become consistent over time as you flesh it out more and become used to visualizing it. Outside of that, I don't think there's much to say. Tulpas can meet other tulpas through the internet through proxying and some have even managed to interact with each other through possession and switching, but that's about it.

Thanks for your advice! I know I probably sound silly at this point asking rather mundane questions. I guess I'm just super curious. I'll attempt to create my own Wonderland with Yuiko tonight. I'll also share the results of it, that is, if anything noteworthy happens. So far, I have to say that I'm progressing faster than I thought, likely do to your (and everyone else's) help, advice, and guides. I'm partly torn on what I should envision for my Wonderland. I have a pretty strong interest in medieval cultures and castles, so I think I'll just start off with a typical stone castle with walls and towers around it. As time goes on, maybe I'll plop in a village, a forest nearby, and well, other things you'd expect to see near or in a castle.
MeiTheRed March 15, 2018 Author March 15, 2018 Nothing all that special happened in my rather mundane and basic castle. I lack the practice and the ability to focus myself and visualize such an area. Despite this, I think she enjoyed the one on one time we had together. Her voice seems less shy now, but she only talks in sentence fragments, never really finishing her thought unless it's already obvious what she's trying to say. It's somewhat disheartening to hear her voice suddenly stop after "I think that...". I am noticing her around more often, though. I suppose I'm getting used to thinking about her. I've been making sure there's a spot for her to sit next to me, too, though she doesn't say anything in the presence of others. She's been holding my hand less, too. That's probably because she got plenty of attention with me in the wonderland. I think it may also be worth noting that she's been calling me "Master" now. I've also been considering thinking of (ie, visualizing) new clothes for her to wear. She seems to like her pink outfit, though. Do you get new clothing for your Tulpa(s), or do you let them decide what they want all by themselves? Thanks for reading <3
Sociohost March 15, 2018 March 15, 2018 I'm enjoying your progress report so much. In terms of wonderland tips, have you thought about involving your five senses ? It could really help with immersing yourself and making things seem a bit more vivid. I find simply imagining my wonderland to be kind of dull, but it's almost as if it "comes alive" when I imagine the sound of my footsteps as I walk around my cabin, the sound of the water when I turn on the faucet, the way the bed sheets feel, the calming sound of the rain embracing the cabin, the cold temperature of the air, etc.
MeiTheRed March 15, 2018 Author March 15, 2018 I'm enjoying your progress report so much. Out of curiosity, what makes you like it? And it didn't cross my mind to include other senses. I was focusing mainly on my sense of sight, which is probably why I had a hard time focusing. Next time around, I'll try to think of all the different senses the next time I spend some closer time with Yuiko. (Just a hunch, but I think she's super appreciative of you improving her favorite part of the day.) I think I'll also ask her if she wants more clothing while I'm there. I also hope she'll speak up more, but I don't want to rush her. I've noticed that if I am in a happy mood, she's more responsive and talkative, and makes more progress. I doubt that's a coincidence. If any of you have anything to say to Yuiko, I'll gladly let her know what you said. Once she speaks up more, I'll try to be a proxy for her.
Sociohost March 15, 2018 March 15, 2018 I particularly like the fact that Yuiko seems a bit shy. I haven't read of many shy tulpas before! Tell Yuiko I said hello and that I believe in her (:
MeiTheRed March 15, 2018 Author March 15, 2018 Yuiko finally managed to finish a few coherent sentences, which is great! Among other things she told me that my legs were getting hairy and that I need to shave them. That totally surprised me, as I wasn't even remotely thinking about my legs. Upon checking, hair was indeed beginning to grow. I was definitely surprised, in a pleasant way. Not about my legs, but the fact that my tulpa had begun to have what seems to be its own thought process, talking about things I wasn't thinking about. Sadly, she's more or less gone back to being very quiet. I wish she'd talk to me again, I thought it was interesting. After telling Yuiko what Sociohost said, she smiled and said "why wouldn't he believe in me?" I found that funny. One problem, Yuiko rarely appears with me if I'm focused on something else. Although I can immediately feel her presence if I shift my mind at least partly to think of her, its as if she vanishes as soon as something, like work, distracts me from her. How can I get Yuiko to stay, despite me having to work on something while we talk (even if the talk is one-sided)?
