Guest August 24, 2018 August 24, 2018 This is what i want: 1. Bring one or more tulpas up front with me. 2. Train to work together to control the body at the same time. 3. Doesn't it follow that you could do things that are superhuman? From something as simple as throwing and catching a ball at the same time, to doubles tennis without another physical partner, but two rackets. One could read while the other drives a car, two eyes controlled seperately. It is known that you can live with one half of your brain removed. The remaining half eventually takes on the rolls of the missing half. Why can't each half then concentrate on different parts of the body, controlled by two seperate personalities? Even Darling in the FRANXX style? A notoriously difficult thing to do for some is parallel processing. Multiple fronting would require a form of partial possession with parallel processing, but with more coordinated interaction, as if two personalities are both cognitively aware of everything, but take control of non-overlapping parts. Breloomancer described in a recent thread that while trying to switch, the host and a tulpa were suddenly both up front. I think we have the tools already described to do this. Imagine mastering this... is it a dumb idea? Is it useful? Could you do what the guides warn would be akin to 'getting your hopes up'. Can you give some examples as to how you would use this skill? What methods could be employed. I put this in metaphysical, only because i don't want to limit responces. I want to know what you think, don't constrain yourself. Consider this a brainstorming, try to post something interesting, but dont get caught up on what others say. We may have wildly different beliefs here. Word walls are welcome.
Rachel Gardner August 24, 2018 August 24, 2018 I think for soulbonds specifically, this would be considered co-fronting, where both the host and soulbond are fronting the body at the same time. This is really common for me to have both Zack and I, though usually I have most of the control of my body. In terms of an example, I guess it would be that I could be sitting on the computer, looking at something with my eyes and Zack could be using one of my arms to rub on my leg. Zack and I like to talk verbally to each-other so we both utilize my vocal cords. Zack also uses my eyes the same time I use my eyes so he can see pretty much everything that's going on with me. Though... I don't really have any guides, it just comes naturally. It's easy for us to communicate that way with one another since he's so melded in with me. We simultaneously send texts back n' forth with one another on Discord as another means of communication. (inactive)
Breloomancer August 24, 2018 August 24, 2018 As of our current understanding of how human brains normally work, there are only three ways to "multitask"; you can either rapidly switch between multiple different tasks in a way that look similar to doing both at once, this is what most people do when they talk about multitasking; you could do two things that are entirely different and thus take up different parts of the brain, like listening to music and driving; or you could merge the two actions into one thought process, like how you can play piano with both hands. The latter is definitely the most promising option, and even more so when you take into consideration that some people possess the skill to write in two different languages at the same time, but they cant write messages that mean different things at the same time. That means that simply because they could think of how to connect the two ideas, they were able to do otherwise completely different things! If that is not incredible then I don't know what is. Anyway back to the subject, I think they if it is possible to do that, then, so long as you have a system worked out that would connect everything you might do, then what you say is possible. It would however require a massive paradigm shift. It would be amazing if you were ever able to achieve such a thing, and I wish you all the luck I can in doing so. Ps. when we were merged (or more accurately blended) we were not able to think individually, rather all of our thoughts were from both of us I have a tulpa named Miela who I love very much. Guest August 24, 2018 August 24, 2018 Rachel, great example, thanks. It seems some simultaneous activity is easier. I can have my hands occupied in wonderland, and my tulpa can do something with my irl hands. I know what they are doing, and i feel it, but i also feel my wonderland hands, this is as far as i can go with possesion, and only for a few seconds. Is it similar? I would like my tulpa to direct one hand, i direct the other, we each get one eye. If i could keep my wonderland hand and eye doing the same thing there, maybe i could forget about the hand the tulpa is using. Just thinking. Bre, thanks for that. I thought of ASL as another example, when i studied it, it was easy to sign and talk at the same time, so writing two languages simultaneously seems reasonable. Blending sounds really close. I wonder if this interesting enough for you to try, have the host do one thing, like reading, and have the tulpa do something that is not easy to do while reading, like reciting a poem from memory. If someone could do that, it would be on the right track. Why would it be that we can do something like driving and listening to music, or study and watch videos in the background, but not other things that are more impressive? Is it as simple as practicing? But i don't want to do two, or ten things at the same time alone, i want my tulpa or three to be in control right along side me. This would then allow things that are difficult to do together without practice. It would only require practice of things alone, then be able to combine on the fly.
