FupidStaggot August 17, 2012 August 17, 2012 Well, after reading alot about the whole process and alot about what you guys to say, I think I've gotten the grip of how the tulpa creation process is supposed to work out. But for me, it seems to be way easier than it is for... Well, everyone else, it seems. I already have a bunch of traits and subtraits that I've memorized and into a T and inputed into the tulpa obsessively and I can also visualize the form very well after about 2 hours work into the whole thing, down to the number of stripes in it's shirt. Maybe it's because it's a really simple humanoid, but I don't know. Is this just me, is it that I have a talent or something, or is it that I'm doing something wrong, or mistakenly lazying my way through it? The jist: Is it possible that the creation process can be easier for some people?
FupidStaggot August 17, 2012 Author August 17, 2012 It pretty much depends on how well you can concentrate. If you are like me (easily distracted) it may be harder to visualize something for longer than a few minutes, if you have zen-monk like concentration skills this will be easier. Well, I'm good at concentrating in things that interest me, which is the case. But is it possible for me to have these things completed in just 2 hours and some? Or does it need more work, but I just don't know it yet?
JD1215 August 17, 2012 August 17, 2012 As the end of FAQ's guide says, Again, don't feel the need to follow the guide perfectly. But also, don't use this liberty to cheat yourself by saying “Oh, I have visualization perfectly down after 20 minutes” because as with every single sense, defining is also building. Otherwise don't sweat it and don't worry about hour counts. Just put work into it and whenever you feel ready to move forward just do so. If you're worried you're going too fast, slow down and spend time adding more definition to your tulpa's form and fleshing out their personality even more. WTB: Rare Tulpas
Chupi August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 Sure, some people are a lot faster than others. Factors appear to include how much you've used your imagination, and your ability/willingness to make yourself believe your tulpa is sentient from the moment you start. Being through with visualization at 2 hours sounds a bit fast, but then again see the link in my sig about hour counts. If you're a creative/artsy type, it doesn't sound too far-fetched. >FupidStaggot Love the nick. Citizen Anon August 18, 2012 August 18, 2012 does it need more work, but I just don't know it yet? If your tulpa isn't fully sentient, vocal and imposed, there is still work to do. I'd suggest repetition, just go over the shit you've already done Name: Lyra Form: http://i.imgur.com/JjMxK.jpg Sentience: Emotional responses, occasional brief vocalization Currently doing: Personality & narration
