So after being aware of the subject for a few months and reading actively about it for about a few weeks i've decided to attempt this, despite a healthy amount of skepticism which i'm sure will slow me down, i'm going to put my best effort into this.

So far my reasoning to do this is i guess more curiosity than anything else, the simple idea of another "person" or consciousness being contained within your head raises all sorts of questions about the nature of the mind, which is the primary reason i want to do this (though a buddy in your head isn't a bad bonus is it?) and i would love to explore that personally if possible.

So anyway, onto to current progress:

I've been focusing my first day on making a list of traits, i plan to be extremely thorough with personality. What i'm aiming for is anywhere from 15-30 traits (including negative attributes) , 10-20 likes/dislikes (combined) and i'll probably just stick with that; With the overall intention being to have an actual person with flaws, not some ideal combination of attributes to form what i would consider someone perfect. Currently debating what my final list of traits will be, did my first hour of personality focusing on main traits of creative and intelligent.

The name was the easy decision, which will be Emma, don't think there's a prettier name anywhere, currently not quite sure what sort of reference i want to use for visuals or even if i should make the tulpa female.

My last paragraph ends with me ranting/wondering if i should be using a wonderland or not, the idea of visualization is weird to me, i'm not quite sure how it should feel when visualising, how exactly you'll be "seeing" things and whatnot; Read the tip of holding a ball then proceeding to picture it in your head which i did, had it pictured clearly in my mind, but is THAT visualization? if so then the idea of something else being able to manipulate a wonderland sounds bizarre, rant done!

Guess i've got lots to experience in the coming weeks!

Visualization is just seeing things in your imaginaton, like when you do math in your head. A wonderland is nice because it acts as a home for your tulpa when you're not working on her. Though many of the people with imposed tulpae never actually used a wonderland, so you can say they wonker on imposition since the start. I don't think you need to put bad traits into her because they are generally developed on their own.

Oh really? that's good to know, i suppose something like intelligence will naturally breed impatience in things they think are too simple for them and stuff like that, also yeah that's how i figured it was.

Nothing to do but put in the hard yards then.

It seems you've read my visualization tip, that's nice! :)

And yes, the thing you described is visualization, and not until tha later stages of creation can you actually see stuff. And the idea of some external force affecting your visualization isn't that bizzarre really, a tulpa is not really an external force in the first place. Try to remember a time you were having a dream. In normal dreams(not lucid dreams) most of the time you aren't in control of the events, and everything happens by itself. Now apply that same effect to tulpae while creating them.

In it's basic form, a tulpae is a projection of your subconcious, which mostly you are unable to control. Your subconcious created your dreams, and can manipulate them, and it directly affects your concious mind when you're having dreams. Now take away the dream state, and you have a wonderland, which can be manipulated by your tulpa.

I hope that answered your rant, welcome to the forums, and good luck with Emma!

P.S. Ignore Fede, you can read his method, but you don't have to follow it necessarily, nor use his tones.

It's a recommendation, Niko. Nothing more.

You just misinterpret me, man.
