This is similar to the method I use. The post I read on a forum that got me started on self-hypnosis was from about 2003 and is probably gone by now.

So what's it supposed to do? What you linked was kind of vague.

 

It puts you in a state of deep relaxation, a hypnotic state, making you vastly more suggestible. It lowers the "truth filter" of your conscious mind and gives you a more direct link to your subconscious. This allows you to control your body, perceptions, and behaviors (even after the session ends) in various ways via commands, which should aid in tulpaforcing.

 

To test if you are in a true hypnotic state, try raising your leg solely by hypnotic command (statements such as "My leg is lifting") as opposed to with muscle control (in a hypnotic state, you should find it hard to move at all without ordering yourself to).

Wow, I just tried having a pretty short tulpaforcing session and I could see her no problem this time. I still can't change anything about her appearance, but I had some success with her personality. Strangely, she spoke to me... but only in French. I am almost fluent in French, but it's not my native language and I rarely actually speak it aside from when I'm studying it. I did write down "loves learning different languages, maybe we can study together and help each other with learning them", "xenophile" and "foreign accent" (no accent specifically, just not a North American one) as some of her traits, so maybe that's why...

 

Also, it turns out her hair wasn't a bright whitish-bluish colour, but snow white with sky blue streaks in it.

 

Yeah you shouldn't be getting any speaking or anything this early so that's just you parroting

 

EDIT: I'm pretty sure the reason I was having so much trouble before was because I was tulpaforcing late at night, while I was really tired, and today I tried in the late afternoon/early evening. I'm sure my ADD plays a part in my troubles, but not as big of one as previously thought.

 

Definitely, I can't concentrate for shit after 9-10pm or so
