(I believe this is the correct place for the question.)

What are the Pros and Cons of maintaining a Progress Report? Should I make one?

Even though a majority of it will probably be wonderland adventures.

I don't know any cons, the pro is that it's a good forcing mechanism, you can ask questions, it's good to look back on later, and it feels good man.

Even if you don't make a public progress report, keep private notes. That stuff will be like your baby photos for a tulpa, you'll want to look back on it for years to come. I kept daily notes for the first two months or so and after that it went to weekly or just every time I felt I needed an update. Now we just journal and the tulpa stuff is built into entries about other things, but I still highly value those notes from Cassidy's very early life.

I'd say the most notable con for a public progress report thread is the chance of feeling like you need to put on an act or spectacle. Early tulpamancy creation is pretty exciting, though. Most people won't have any problem finding things to write about.

Pros all around. It's a good log, a good way to look back at your progress and to help other people understand your system better, which will in turn allow you to get better advice from the community, and to give back to the community as your experiences may help others learn...

The world is far, the world is wide; the man needs someone by his side.

Our Thread

Alright that sounds pretty nice. I will try to remember to make a progress report thread next week.

I started typing down what I did with my tulpa everyday now. It is helping me remember exactly how this is going.
