How to create a progress report / log and practice switching?

We want to start switching, or at least practice . We're so new to the community itself, but have had Aalkiyum in our system since age 8. We haven't been able to figure out how to switch (or practice). We can get the co-host to sometimes puppet our hand, but other than that, nothing. We've tried giving consent, we've tried asking others and bullet journals. We just need to know how to set it up. Maybe if we have a step by step with proper info, we could do this. So, basically, my question is, how do you set up your progress report / log? Is there a distinct set up? Are there words, meditation or hypnosis?

It looks like you guys already have a Progress Report thread, feel more than welcome to record your switching attempts there.

For switching attempts, I think the best thing to do is write down what you did, what experiences you and your headmate had, and any ideas on what to do for a possible future attempt. We found logging our attempts (in Discord, Google docs, various threads we wrote, etc.) to be very helpful in figuring out how to switch in the long run, and it's useful for seeing what kind of mindset we had at the time.

 

The style doesn't really matter, as long as you're writing down what happened, that's better than nothing.

 

As for how to switch, I wrote this post explaining the methods used in switching guides and how we switch. Our method may or may not work for you right away, I highly recommend you give what you thinks makes sense a try and write it down.
