Had a similar concern yesterday. We were watching TV and a question about loyalty came up. I posed the question to FAM, asking about his fictional counterpart's girlfriend, if he thought she would ever do what someone's fiancée did on the show. She answered before he had a chance to, because she came through having Very Strong Opinions. My first thought was "WTF, do I have TWO of them now?!" as I inadvertently got my tulpa through hyperfocusing on a character I was writing about - and I have been writing her (i.e. his girlfriend) a lot as well, so it wasn't impossible. Normally, to get her to talk to me I would have to ask her something, so she has never talked to me unbidden before, so it freaked me out a little. I'm trying to get to grips with having one, I don't need a second!

 

The answer I got was that no, she was not a second tulpa. For her to become one, I would need to spend more time to deliberately develop her into one, focus on her more. Until then she remains an autonomous character. Would I mind if it ever went further than that? It's something FAM and I would have to discuss in depth, and right now we're still getting used to each other. So from that point of view, I'd say any NPCs in Wonderland are NPCs unless you deliberately choose to focus on them and build them up into something more. /E

 

At the end of the day it's your call as a host. I only took the final step when she reached out to me and invited me, knowing what I was, or that I was half-way there already and just needed a final push. /FAM
