[Blurry/Unsure] You might find that some people with DID would use the term "system" and that there's no singular identity changing identities (with exceptions). Personally never seen anyone with DID really talk about "changing identity", mostly because many see themselves as part of a system with their alters. Alters are people too. And DID systems are more similar to tulpa systems that you may think. And there's also people who'd fit this "changing identity" thing you're talking about without destabilizing identity. Anyhow, just some alternate views. (:

My first switch was the strongest, and I don't know how to get back to it being at least as good as my first switch.

[Blurry/Unsure] In my&'s experience, not influencing others when switched out comes with a lot of practice and spending a lot of time switched out. Switching back to the old expectations might actually make it harder for you to switch, which probably wouldn't help. But anyways, it's up to you of course. I wish you luck /g.

Fully "changing" identity wasn't really the right word, I just meant any destabilization or changes to/unsureness in, or even the namesake, dissociation from, one's identity. A complete and clean change in identity in a controlled and non-disorderly way would just be describing switching, I'd say.
