Yea I guess that's the stereotype that all intrusive thoughts are negative. So you could just latch onto the helpful ones and shun the disruptive ones. Kind of like how our bodies are with microbes. They're a natural part of our existence. Some help, some hurt but most just kind of exist on us. So if your plan is to coexist with them you could treat errant thoughts like travelers that come a go. You could try to absorb them or embody them in a tulpa or some other category of thoughtform. Not all headmates have to be sentient. If symbolism is your thing you could make them into something like fan mail. Your mind reading your inbox of your subconsciousness. I don't know if that helps but my point I'm trying to make is that you have plenty of options to handle those voices. You have the right to have order and stability in your own mind. It kinda depends on what way you want to handle things. You can be kinda loosey-goosey with it or enforce strict rules and routines. It might be accidental blending, sometimes when my tulpa, Jaina and I are bantering we'll get sloppy and talk over each other and lose track of who said what. If none of that sounds familiar or right hopefully someone else has some perspective as to what it might be.

Oh okay. Yeah I assumed they had to be negative, so it might just be that. It is sometimes just random things I heard randomly repeating or will make my own thoughts sound like someone else is saying them when I am too, it might be that too though, idk. Thanks for the advice though, I was nervous about telling anyone since I assumed people would over react or brush it off completely, when I mean it didn't really feel all that serious, but it confused me so wanted at least some idea. I also wasn't sure if I was really making any progress or not because of how it happens, making it hard to tell what's just that, and what's not.ย ย

I'd say it's potentially a very good sign that your mind is active and flexible enough to do things like tulpamancy. You do eventually want to "hear a voice," just the one that you chose for your tulpa not the randos that trundle in when your train of thought goes off the rails. So it might just be a matter of self-discipline or focus. I'm lazy so I don't always bother with the background noise. I'd guess that you're, dare I say it, "normal" for a tulpamancer.ย ๐Ÿ˜„ย I'm not a decades old professional psychologist with tons of research under my belt, so I can't speak to how often normies running their 9-5's and doing their adulting have random voices pop in. But I'd put good money down on it being a non-zero number. In my experience it seems to be a side-effect of having an active mind and imagination more than a symptom of clinical insanity. To be hyperbolic, just because you and a person enrolled in a mental hospital need water to live doesn't mean you are also crazy. Correlation is not necessarily causation. I didn't tell anyone about "hearing voices" in my head either because of the societal stigma. It's part of the reason I create Jaina in the first place. To have someone to talk to that I trusted and wouldn't judge me and understood me as well if not better than I do. So hopefully you're in the right place for what you're looking for too.ย ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah, I didn't really think I was "insane" or anything, I was more of just worried other people would think so since I'm bad at describing my thoughts most of the time so I feel like anyone who doesn't know much about it will assume it's worse.
